Hey Frodo, at least Phil backs his "Tool of the Week" up with some supporting evidence each week. Why specifically is Simon Crean your "Tool of the Week" other than you don't like Labor?

Starting a thread with a political statement may be gung ho for the loony left but IMO stinks. So I thought I'd see how the other foot liked it.

Now it's simple. Make thread titles less provocative and I'll keep mine the same. It's called the status quo.

And the status quo is a charmer, aint it?

'specially in a housing commision joint in Beaufort on an August night and United Energy have just cut the power off.

Simon Crean is about as funny as three weeks in Shepparton. And Shepparton is just Ararat, without the nightlife.

Whose country do you live in?

I live in mine.

Was that after one bottle of scotch or two?

Beaufort aren't supplied by United Energy. :p

Gee Phil - a comparison between Shepparton and Ararat!!!!

Do you actually know either place? Or did you just pluck them out of thin air to make a not very funny point?

I know Ararat :) I don't think Phil knows it too well though? Nightlife? Marion College students wouldn't be able to spell nightlife.

Nah actually I don't know that much about it, it was a neighbouring town, not a town I went to often.

Prior to Bali bombing:

Crean: Howard is Terror Mongering

After Bali bombing:

Crean: Government gave no warning to citizens

Crean is one big joke, all he does is disagree with the Howard.

Complained about how howard sent troops to Iraq.
If Howard didnt sent any troops, I'm 100% sure Crean would complain about not supporting it.

If Crean becomes PM, I'm moving to Zimbabwe and living under the Robert Mugabe regime.

Of course since 1996 the Howard Government has been a model of consistency particulary on:

1. The GST

2. Children Overboard

3. The Rigorous enforcement of the Ministerial Code of Government

RooMatera, your criticisms of Crean are audacious

You love Simon Crean. You want to maaaaaaaaaarry him. :p

Honestly, I don't think "There's nothing wrong with Crean because Howard is bad." really cuts it.

That's like saying Howard's a great bloke because Hawke said no child would be living in poverty.

(Or maybe its just that I haven't looked up audacious yet)

Good point Mobben'. There criticism of one is not inferred praise for the other.

Other than Jenny Macklin and (dare I say it) Latham I don't rate any of the Labour front bench. Crean should listen to his Dad and go in harder for the battlers and against the Imperium Americanum!

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out, but Crean is the leader of the opposition. I can't remember a time when the leader of opposition (whther Liberal or Labor) has ever done anything more substantial than say the government is wrong. It happens at all levels of government and will coninue to happen. Crean is no different in this regard.
