Love your contribution to the 119 and crowbots shitfests. Sorry to hear this.

very sad news, my family has recently touched by this terrible disease and I have enormous empathy and admiration for anyone who lives through it. You have and will continue to do so with style Toots, bite of more than you can chew and then chew like hell mate.

Toots

I've missed you at work in 2011. A year when both our sides are no good would have made for v entertaining sledging battles. I'm sorry to hear things aren't good but confident you'll squeeze every good moment you can out of the time ahead

Very sad to hear this update. Toots has been a valued poster, both on the Port Board - adding humour and importantly, well thought out opinion - and regularly sticking it up the opposition on the bay. Have missed his contributions across BF in recent times.

Best wishes TH, and thanks.

This is terrible news. I knew Toots was battling this prick of a disease but had hoped he beat it.

Just remember mate.. you are well loved not only around here but you also have the chance to spend your days with those that are the world to you.... your family

Always know that we are all thinking of you mate and personally i hope you can stay strong and make the most of everything you can.

No one deserves to suffer from such a horrible disease :(

It makes me happy that you've been able to travel and experience life with as minimal disturbance as you possibly can with such a condition. My Mum's best friend whose been a second mum to me is terminal and was given 16 months to live coming up two years ago and she's still going strong, even has a Europe trip planned for September. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the human body is an amazing and arrogant thing.

Thoughts are with you and your family Toots.

Toots very sad to hear what you are going through. Sounds like you have a great attitude to it all.

All the best, hopefully the Power can put a smile on your dial and win a game or two. (but not too many:))

Stay strong and live with a smile, friend.

Enjoyed many a banter, argument and occasionally even a serious moment with Toots.

Extremely intelligent man and certainly not deserving of such an awful disease. Puts a lot of things into perspective, it's a great rivalry our two clubs have in many respects but it's insignificant compared to shit news like this. Best wishes to his family and loved ones.

Also a massive f*** you to cancer, what a horrible, horrible disease.

toots ive never personally met you but this has rocked me, i know personally wats it like to lose some one so close, to cancer, and the idea of a genuinely great human being taken so horribly is terrible. stay strong, never lose that strong will. the pafc has a lot to learn from men like yourself.

Sad news ... Man

Puts everything into perspective doesn't it who cares about winning or losing

I haven't spoken much with toots but read his posts and evn though I have never spoken to or met him I feel genuine sadness
:(

Thanks Toots for the memories, your posts kept me in stiches, especially when I was living in Sydney and would voraciously read everything in Big Footy as I was so footy starved!

At a time like this, there is not much to say, other than, am glad you have managed to do the things you have wanted to do & that you are now surrounded by your family & friends.

Lets hope the Port guys can put a couple of smiles on your face this year.

Thoughts with you and your family.

Thank you Ford for updating us all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Toots and his loved ones. Toots is a fantastic poster and member of this board - always balanced, witty, insightful and fair in his views.

Keep strong, Toots - you are indeed a Port Adelaide champion!
