Ligma - we are just having Indian takeaway for dinner, and I mentioned to my 14 year old daughter that one of the chicken dishes was made nut-free especially for her (allergy). Her response was "slay"!!!

I think she was pretty surprised that I knew what she meant!
Did you explain a murderous horny pirate on the internet taught you?

The word 'Tupperware' has been mentioned more in this thread than a late night info-mercial from the 90s.
Being a mayor didn't pay well

I will play on the understanding that I will be completely transparent and post whatever my role is as soon as I receive it.
I can't believe that Headless lied to us all about this. smh

Thoughts & Votes
So ends the seventh iteration of TOS WW, and the sixth that I have hosted.

First and foremost I would like to thank my co-moderator Frederico_WA, who ably assisted me throughout the week - and despite his inexperience was invaluable in keeping things running smoothly. Not only did he take charge of the Jailor functionality and kept count of lynch votes, but also kept a presence in the trillion PMs we had running, and helped check night actions when things were getting complex (I must admit that he saved the day when he reminded me that Medusa was not roleblock immune right before a deadline). I look forward to Frederico_WA rocketing up to Tier 1 off the back of this experience.

As for the game itself, I feel that this was probably the most balanced of all TOS WW games so far, with all factions in it until the very end. The new roles (Crusader and Pirate) added a bit of spice, whilst placing a guaranteed Ambusher on the role list gave the Mafia a bit of extra ammunition. It's always a bit of a roll of the dice with these things, because Town is technically extremely OP at the beginning of the game when you look at it - but we seem to always be guaranteed of a Town implosion to even things out. At least you guys didn't lynch a good role this time!

Things to work on for next time: more clarity around roleblock immune, control immune and detection immune classifications. Somehow polish that priority list a little more. Add a couple of things to the Coven Leader role so they can collect a bit more information on N1 and N2. And I think it's time to spice the role list up a little...

Some personal highlights for mine:
  • ZergMinion transforming into Pestilence! After Nunez got so close last time, it was brilliant to see Zerg go all the way this time. If you can get deep in the game the Plaguebearer is a really fun role - but as we've seen they cop a hiding to nothing once they transform, since everyone unites against them out of fear.
  • Greenery flailing around as the worst Doctor of all time. He protected evil on N1, then proceeded to let 30% of the good roles die to poison due to a comedy of errors. Roleblocked N2, challenged to a duel N3, jailed N4, then wasted protections on N6 and N7 since nobody realised that the Poisoner had the Necronomicon (protip: read those messages I send you carefully!).
  • The trio of Chipmunk, MWPP and por_please_ya working together in a faction for the first time. These three obviously know each other very well, and it was a delight to see them bouncing ideas off each other in the PM, whilst also doing a great job of distancing in the main thread. Their analysis of mystery Jailor MC Bad Genius' favourite cheeses + being spooked by the non-existent Dingster induced several chortles. And we finally got a Janitor clean!
  • Gralin being able to really sink his teeth into the Mayor role, and showcasing his gameplay analysis whilst leading the Town in the late-game. The N7 Jail PM he had with MC Bad Genius was critical in preventing Pestilence from stealing the win.
  • The Coven leadership changing hands as they each dropped off the perch. BEaston was the clear brains of the operation early, but DERO was able to take the baton after he died - before young Headless was the last man standing, and was able to show that he's learnt a few tricks along the journey: five kills to poison was a true feather in his cap.
  • Mafia killing mafia (due to Coven Leader interference). Always amusing!
  • Seeing the Transporter (Barrybran), Veteran (NaturalDisaster) and Psychic (MP_ and Pie 4 Life) roles getting a chance to shine, after several games without impact.
  • Ligma really embracing the Pirate role, despite a few....challenges early on.
Ultimately I think that every single player influenced the way this game went, which is always pleasing. From 3KZ is Football bamboozling people with his retributionist choice, to hotchilli and Grand Uncle Horace confusing a LOT of people with the Juggernaut >< Medusa interaction, to Pie 4 Life spending his weekly salary on the local escort service, to Tarkyn_24 finally getting his bodyguard moment.

My votes:
3 votes: MWPP - who was the driving force during the early and mid-game. She survived two trips to the Jailor, and managed to slip through the noose on multiple day phases. Without her the Mafia would not have been set up to win.
2 votes: Gralin - the big influence on the late game, and played the Mayor role perfectly.
1 vote: BEaston - understood the Coven faction best, and had an entertaining battle of words with MWPP during the mid-game.

Thanks for playing.
