He'd almost be the perfect tall for us being another hybridish type. Not overly tall but definitely plays tall and is a brilliant contested mark so his height is irrelevant. Pretty mobile too which helps. He plays differently to Crameri and Stringer too.

Boyd, Stringer, Wood, Dickson, Crameri could all play in the same team. Chuck Clay next to them to help lock in the ball. No one can match them all up well!

I kid you not but Boyd, Redpath, Wood, Crameri and Stringer could all play in the same team.

Particularly when Boyd can play as the 2nd ruck and Wood, Crameri and Stringer are all mobile enough to play as midfielders.

Fair enough. I don't disagree think we do need more explosiveness in the midfield. But do we have that already in Stringer and push him into the midfield more regularly? Although to completely contradict myself I have repeatedly said Stringer won't ever be a full time mid. I agree though I'd like that burst stoppage player.

Also if we did want someone cheaper but who plays a similar role to Mason Wood, then Tom Lamb should be considered. Wants out of WCE although his attitude has been questioned in the past.

I have 2 points of doubt on the Stringer as a permanent [?] mid. 1. Tank. 2. I think he is to valuable up forward. Happy for him to go through the midfield at times, but if we can have him [and Crammers] as the third forward [ need Boyd to claim a regular key post up front], then he comes under less double teaming pressure, and would then be at his dangerous best.

I'm sold on Mason Wood after tonight if the club are keen. Can play CHF as a mobile marking player perfectly. Is aggressive and has a bit of campaigner about him too. Late first rounder would be fine with me, how likely is he of leaving lolnorf though?

Hes still unsigned, so he's in play.
