And risk a pick of their own in the early 20s particularly when sliders like Hrovat are probably still available really do doubt it, although the more comepensation picks that are handed out the tougher for us it becomes.

And Hrovat well I don't think he is that good and I've said that for months and even if he is we need a KP more than another mid

They both have value so use it while it's there coz both will have less at the end of next year IMO

Agree we aren't going to get gold with a rubber shovel.
Have to offer something substantial, forget juggling picks between clubs.
If you want a reasonable kpp you are not going to pay overs, you have to pay what's reasonable.
All the deals and pick swaps I have seen won't get it done. I' m sorry but people on this board are looking at it from what they would like to happen, instead of looking at it realistically.
I agree Mattdougie bold recruiting is what our club needs urgently. I don't mean dumb recruiting.

I hope you are right because we got royally screwed for his brother. We should have passed but were too loyal.
I wanted Ayce but not with our first rounder, it's not as if he was Viney or MacDonald.

Yes Oscar McDonald will be draft about pick 25-45ish has had a very good year.

Ayce was rated by some as a top 5 - 10 (boy they were wrong). Clubs are forced to use that pick for the F/S they bid for if we don't match it. Clubs aren't going to waste their second round pick to annoy us they might though if they rate Zaine as an early second round which nearly all so far rate him a 3rd rounder. If another club does bid on him with the early second rounder then so be it we move on. I'm sure in hindsight we all wish we traded the pick we used on Ayce for a KPF when we had the chance to win the flag. Our history could have been a little different if we did.

Loving the amount of proof you are providing though talia has said to many events and interviews on and off camera he is enjoying his time in the 2nds tl help develop his skills and has a great relationship with macca.

Easy to say in hindsight isn't it. At the time he was an athletic 200cm forward/ruck who was rated by some as a top 5 pick and we had the chance to take him at pick 14, saying we were too loyal is ridiculous.

IMO

1. too early to pull the pin on cordy let 2015 sort him out id like to see him with 2 full preseasons and 2 full injury free years under his belt.
2. jones can be traded - no drama there, had his chances and not interested in taking them
3. talia is a keeper
4. rougheads only talent is his height (trade out for players/picks)
5. wallis is a must keep
6. higgins, grant, horvat trade out for players/picks
7. delist prudden (we dont need another williams)
8. howard DELIST YESTERDAY

Haven't read a heck of a lot of positives in the last 40 pages. In summary - BMac cracked it at the end of seasons, lots of our middle ranked players want out, no rumours of any decent talls who actually want to join our emerging mids.

Things would want to get a hell of a lot better between now and the draft or its gonna be a long off season and and even longer 2015. Hope its just still people getting over the last few weeks of the season rather than indicative of the mood inside the actual club
