Gotta convince them to go up there. Pretty hard task. Only people that seem to want a qld move are Queenslanders or those heading up for regular games/big coin. Not sure if offering Rat/Church types big coin is the answer for them going forward.

Can't believe the amount they pay Rich though. Wowee. And we cop crap for Boyd. Sheesh.
yep... that is the thorn. Even though all three would be certain starters for the lions, moving north is a hard sell.

Pick 42 for Hrovat still reasonable?

Also I reckon you guys should go hard for Hoskin-Elliott, add a bit more spice through the wings/forward flanks

Yes that is reasonable and on WHE some would agree, although rumour has it that he and his partner aren't big dog fans. Appears to be pretty set on Collingwood. With what he'd cost, I think I'd just prefer to hit the draft, seems like a pretty good draft this year.

It would be smart of them to take a look at Stevens or Honeychurch. Tough players with good leadership qualities is one thing that Brisbane certainly needs.

yep was looking at their trade thread and no mention of any dogs. Bit strange, a club that deperately needs players who are hard at it, can win their own ball, and have contested possession ability... yet no one from the dogs? very strange. might pose the question see what they say.

Brisbane do not need anymore recycled C grade midfielders on their list.

Bell, Christensen, Bastinac, Robinson, Jansen etc is enough, though I guess someone like Robinson gives 100% every week, something most of their players don't do.

They need to go to the draft and find the next Jelwood, the next Cal Ward, the next Bontempelli etc

They need to draft kids who can win games off their own boots but are not afraid to put their head over it also. Having vanilla plodders around like Bastinac and a bloke who can't handle a tag in Rich will never be a good influence on the team overall and is a reason why their rebuild has failed.

Taking soft spuds like Polec and Aish who walked out on them hurt too, but they are types of players they can not afford to take come draft time.

Take the bigger bodied inside types Brisbane, do not take "Clayton" types

Probably. Most here would probably want more, but we can't stand in his way.

His woman something like he'd rather retire than play for the Dogs. Into the garbage he goes.

What's with the animosity to the Dogs?

In any case, thought WHE could add something new to the mix.
Apparently he/she said it like 2 years ago, during the McCartney era

Who knows if that's the same vibe these days

Apparently Dan Hannebery said similar around that time also

well if that's the case, we could probably add Shaun Higgins, Jason Tutt, Liam Jones and Ryan Griffen to that list too!

The only recent ex-Doggies I genuinely feel sorry for who didn't experience the Beveridge era is Crossy and Coons

Them 4, LOL, can add Ward also

I don't think it was ever reasonable, but probably what we'll get. We got offered two second rounders for him last year.

Not for me

Should've saw the light once BMac was sacked and worked his arse off with a clean slate under Bevo

Never mind though Boyd>>>>Cloke>>>>>Redpath>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LJizz
Yeah obviously he's a spud, I just miss having the big goofball around

fine, but you didn't name any C grade plodders which would actually be an improvement on the jars of snake oil you named, with a cackling bearded bloke racing away toward the horizon in a cloud of dust.

heh, couldn't imagine him having anything nice to say now

Jong with pick 18 and or 36 lets get creative and try and get as much value from these.

Stevens if he ends up at Essendon most likely PSD, any news on other clubs?

Rat and honey lets bring in future picks for them.

Need too but I wont be upset if we don't early, draft a key forward.

With cloke coming on board for 2 years if we can develop a young key forward at VFL level, that should be our main goal.

KPF and Collins developing for another 2 years in the VFL now that will be exciting

To be honest, I can't blame a player (or partner) not wanting to come to the Dogs in the McCartney era, although I don't think one can be held to similar standards now that we're a premiership-winning club. Dan's pretty committed to the Swans anyway. Regardless, I don't rate Hoskin-Ellott at all, much better going through the draft.

Really want a highly rated tall forward from the draft developing in the 2s. How amazing would it be having plenty of good talls in the senior side, decent depth talls in VFL with highly rated developing talls too. A luxury we've never had is just allowing some tall kids to develop at their own pace without getting thrown in the deep end. Also they've got guys to learn off at the club which we've also never had!

I don't get the hard sell - it's 8:10am up here, 22 degrees and I'm walking my dog in a singlet and bulldog scarf (looks terrible but I am still copping high fives).
