Trengove is a good get

Put on 3ishkg over summer as hinkley saw him playing forward/ruck this year and he has struggled with his space creation/reading of the play. Then with a combination of being coached by a stubborn prick and being that little bit too heavy for an already not agile defender has seen him struggle down back.

Sounds like we get him, he loses 5 kg and then gets played back effectively.

With tengrove I don't see the need to also get in a ruck. A full preseason for roughy might improve him just enough to have him Boyd n tengrove to share the ruck. I think Roberts needs a full preseason to be trained as a forward n try him there.

Trengove can give a chop out sure but I'm sick of having a shit ruck who can nearly break even if all goes well. Give me Martin and back in Moz/Cordy/Adams and the young uns any day

I wouldnt be relying on Trengrove to be our full time ruck though. Pinch hit - absolutely.

Happy about Trengove but I still want Martin. Something like our 2nd and 3rd for Martin and Brisbane's 3rd?

Keep our first, 2 early 3rds and probably a 7th rounder that JMac will get us for Crameri and add Martin and Trengove. Possibly see if someone is keen on a Campbell, Roberts or dare I say it, Roughead.

Hardly in the same boat as the first three we chased, but will come for free and fits a role.

The thing I like most about it is Adams can go forward. Have got my fingers crossed Collins kicks on too in case Trengove doesn't work

Adams absolutely has to go forward now. If we can't get a ruck, run with Roughy there with Trengove playing key back following the oppo's bigger forwards and second rucks around. Adams CHF and Boyd FF with no ruck swaps.

Moz, Cordy and Trengove should be our key back trio and has some serious flexibility to counter different forward setups. Let the 19 year old Collins and 18 year old Young develop for another year until Moz pulls the pin.

I hope Trengove isn't being targeted for versatility, Boyd's already better than him forward and in the ruck. Getting him in to play as a permanent key back would be a Hawthorn like pickup and now just need to trade pick 9 for an elite talent.

Lever ideally, I would hope Trengove wouldn't be preventing the club targeting bigger names. There's enough young talent on the list for the future and trading pick 9 increases the chances of a flag next year.
