16 and jong for Schache will sting...
No... either #16 for Schache with perhaps Brisbane sending something with Schache to us. Or, Jong for Schache with perhaps us sending something with Jong to Brisbane. Not both Jong and #16 for Schache (God I hope not!)

I think #16 would be a better outcome for us (especially as we still have #9) than #11 with #26 going back.
I've been pondering this for a couple days and don't think I agree. In a standard draft I'd go 9, 16 and 27, but reading about this draft, I think I'd prefer to go in with 9 and 11.

It is when you have sold members a top ten pick. or nothing. ******* filthy.

I seriously doubt that the thoughts of members came into consideration when it came to making a decision of this magnitude.

We wanted him out. He had one serious suitor. Both parties knew this and it strangled our negotiating power.

What if we are very confident that the player we might take at #11 is going to be also available at #16? Then we'll have given away #27 for nothing.

From The Age:
Michael Gleeson is reporting that the Bulldogs are likely to trade picks 28, 30 and a future second-round pick to Carlton for pick 16.

Geez that doesn't look great.

That........can't be right.

That must be a typo

Yep, looks terrible. Unless we win the flag next year! Geeze though, I reckon Macca had little chance with the Stringer deal considering everything the club said, but that one is a real puzzler.
