Anybody want to revisit this page from the last couple of days when so many were having a good time lol’ing at pooort for melting at unsubstantiated rumours?

It's classic melting. So funny when you know that the Hawks aren't expecting him to choose them THIS year.

IF he stays at Port, Hawks in the frame for next year.

Still want to hear it from a real journalist.
They are a dying breed currently being replaced with "look at me" types who fall over each other in a race to be first with no regard to cross-checking their information.

If you were to name names from the media, who would you think constitutes a "real journalist" these days?

Fair call, they are few and far between. Tony Sheahan might just about be the king of the "look at me" types though.

We get the chad or we don’t get the chad. Big deal. Never forget that we built or last premiership on the back of the draft, some smart recruitment and a Hail Mary trade forced on us by the desertion of our then captain. Landing a big fish is nice when engaged in bigfooty dick measuring contests but it doesn’t necessarily guarantee success.

So...meh.

I'm not sure the Dahl compo will cover a reasonable bid (12). Would require your pick 45 in addition by my understanding.

In any case, I'm sure you could get a better deal from one of the Adelaide clubs...
Your absolute best chance at a trade up would be to Geelongs pick. After their first they don't have a pick til the 50''s. Doubt they would even be interested though.
