Bombers board giving plenty of 'we'll def get him next year, glad we didn't overpay!'.

Guess what, he'll STILL be contracted 12 months from now and there'll be even more suitors.

I had a dumbarse on Twitter tell me the best time to trade someone is when they have 1 year left on their contract. He assumed the foetal posistion After I informed him that Dunkley had 2 years left

Thoughts and prayers for Kyle Dunkley

Essendon supporters saying they should start talking to JUH now to try and get him to the Bombers.

Maybe, I don't know just a thought here, draft and develop your own players and you might break that whole haven't won a final in 16 years thing you have going.

I've always been a Sam Power man - one of my dearly departed cats even got 'Sam' as his middle name because he was also fair haired and very clever.

Offer Kyle Dunkley a spot on the VFL list. Not even joking, he would be a good get.

Just going to quote myself from a couple of days ago

If Treloar was a free agent asking for a 5 year deal do you think we would be after him?

If so how much $ would we be offering? Realistically if he wanted 5 years I'd think we'd offer about $500k a year. Would it be more? $600k tops?

With that in mind I feel like we should steer clear unless Collingwood pay at least $300-400k per year for the 5 years

Great stuff from Power

Just left this on the Bummers board

Apologies if this has been posted, but I figured I could vent my own disappointment at the list catastrophe that has befallen us while showing Doggies supporters that are hesitant about Treloar why they are wrong. This is why you've brought in Treloar:

Yes, his kicking can make you pull your hair out at times. But it's overblown. The AFL world that treats Treloar as a run of the mill, good but not great mid is the same AFL world that just decided that Ben Brown is suddenly worthless as key forward after one bad season. Treloar is not a run of the mill mid. He is an absolute gun when fully fit. And yes the 'fully fit' part is a concern, but injuries are always a risk.

He is obviously below Bont, but I think he is a better player than Macrae at his best, if not as consistent. He is better than all of your other current mids. You may laugh and scoff, but you will happily for your sake, probably soon come to realize that I am right. Now I am going to go cry in a corner.
