Grow up. If someone agrees with another person's point of view then so be it. We don't all need to think the same way and as long as you don't directly attack people for who they are or make them feel like Sh1t then let's move on. How much time do you dedicate to following these guys anyway that you jot down likes they click on social media. For God's sake, surely we are bigger than this and a little more think skinned.
Yeah, if people want to throw bananas at indigenous people, sling transphobic abuse and be hateful towards marginalised groups, that's their right to be hateful. We should grow up for wanting to call out bigots

I'm mentioning his name again:

Kieran Straughan.

Played some solid games this year. Dominated the SANFL and is 25.

Would cost SFA.
Also finished the year in the seniors with a couple of good games (statistically) against Gawn and Goldstein...

Brother of a netballer (just like Dunks).
On to the shortlist he goes.

No one on this planet can replace the supreme force that was Dylan F****** Addison.

In all seriousness, why would Kennedy be a DFA?
Not yet offered a new contract. On a rumour thread someone mentioned he may not get one.

We try to be an inclusive club, bringing in someone that is actively liking or posting hateful content online runs counter to that. It's the same reason why Walker will never end up here.

Interesting word “inclusiveness ” and how it’s used, goes both ways

I think we can only afford an older player who wants one final crack at a 22, rather than a young player who we wouldn't be able to afford to keep in the team long-term if they play up to that. In any case, I don't want to stifle the fact that English may be a better ruck than forward a few years from now (as ridiculous as many of the people here would think).

Out of contract 2021:
Callum Sinclair, Tom Campbell, Nathan Vardy, Rhys Stanley. Lachie Keeffe might be an interesting re-rookie, with Preuss, Flynn and potentially Briggs next year, there's no way he's staying on their list, even as a 32 year old coming off an injury.

Out of contract 2022
Darcy Fort (decent ruck but struggles with fitness, hasn't been picked in the Geelong team despite dominating VFL this year because he's barely scratching 75% TOG in VFL games).

Another interesting strategy would be go hard after a player who has played 0 or very few games and is very young but might not have a longer-term path into the 22 and put our faith in them ie Samson Ryan, Ned Moyle etc.

Inclusiveness doesn't, and shouldn't, cover transphobes/sexists/racists

Inclusiveness according to the Cambridge dictionary: the quality of including many different types of people and treating them ALL fairly and equally.
Key word being ‘all’.
All: every one of, complete amount of, the whole of

All does not allow to pick and choose

Inclusiveness is a double edged sword

Now back to the footy

JK is an interesting one, surely not pushed out and doubt he’d be up to moving across the country but I’d throw absolutely everything at getting him over in a playing/coaching role. One of the great modern forwards, imagine the influence he’d have on JUH & Naughty, would be genuinely priceless. Hell just hiring him on a 7 year contract solely to be a training set shot partner for Naughty! Plus he’d be such an ideal forward on field in our setup for the year, even though he looks like he’s not too far off being cooked

In all seriousness we have 2 of the greatest key forward prospects we’ve had in years, we need to spend big on developing them right and looking at coaching/playing inclusions like this

Have a read of the Paradox of Tolerance.

You can't include those that are themselves exclusive as then it doesn't breed inclusiveness so it is self defeating.

Whose sockpuppet account is this?

No room for transphobia, now or ever.

You really shouldn’t have to put up with crap like that. Bigfooty really needs to do something about the private messaging. Is it really a necessary feature? Can you disable it? I’m over all the offensive messages from opposition fans after a loss but this stuff is even worse.

I suggested him as well. Prefect replacement for Bruce and a dead eye in front of goal. However, being he is from WA he probably won't want to move, although maybe we can get him as a goal kicking coach and have the whole fwd line skipping around. Get Josh in the forward line, NicNat as ruck and win the next two cups.

Pittonet extended with Carlton. Even the really crap rucks are out of reach.

Well, most rucks are usually taller than the average person’s height.

I don’t think it’s so much “not being offered one” as to “do I really want another one”

I was going to post this and am happy that someone else already had.

An example would be:
I was going to hire a man to join my sales team. He chose a different team, the one that was male and (mostly ) white (not my team). He wasn’t meeting sales expectations and was given a choice of joining my team for extra support or leaving…. In his exit interview he said he couldn’t join a diverse team….
I tend to find those that are don’t like minorities, tend to avoid them and can miss out on opportunities. I am happy to give them with their choice.

Pies are rebuilding and apparently are happy to clear cap.

Brody Grundy

Go big. Our time is now.

Wonder if the Pies would consider it if the offer was juicy enough?
I thought similar. He's down on form and unlikely to be around when they contend. A first rounder could be enough, as it'd also be somewhat a salary dump from them

I admit I was wrong on Hickey. Cox would be our best ruckman, but there is no field. If he comes cheap, I don’t see why not. I’d also get another ruckman but I doubt Bevo wants that.

Hey Chops, how are you? The ladies at Star Casino were asking after you.
