Was forwards coach at Saints for 2 years under Lyon before jumping back to Hawks. Saints didn't seem too worried about losing him.
Was forwards coach at Hawks for 2 years before coming to us. Hawks also didn't seem to fussed about losing him. There's also a thread on the Hawks board from the time that got stuck into him about their forward line being a shambles.
He's coached just about every line at the Blues, and whatever one he touches seems to go backwards. 10-11 years with us was deemed far too long by most, and fairly certain he jumped before he was pushed.
Always spoken about as a great bloke though.

I hope for your sake you don't get him, but if you do, I hope Bevo can turn him around. I don't have any ill will towards him, but glad to see the back of him.

As for the previous post by someone about him having it in for a player that was seeing his daughter. I've heard similar, but the issue with the rumour is that I heard it was Liam Stocker, who has a longterm girlfriend and it isn't Barker's daughter.

A few years ago a Oppo poster came in and said that Steve Grace was sacked about a week before it was announced. Clearly had good Intel. They said Bevo had his own boys club with the coaches.

With soft cap constraints we had to let him go. Maybe this could free up Martin as ruck coach and rookie spot if ticked off by AFL

Hall is an incredibly solid citizen, one of the nicest guys you'll meet (off field) and would be an excellent addition to our forward line coaching. I would seriously petition the club for that appointment.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned - Tom Morris on Fox said the deal for 17 is essentially agreed to with the Crows. Are we thinking it’s 17 and our 60s picks for 23, 37 & 44?

I'm getting in early and blaming him for all our losses next year, our selection mis-fires, tactical blunders, and the cold coffee at Barkers Cafe - and he hasn't even been confirmed as an appointment yet!

We need outside perspective, Gia hasn't been gone for long enough for that. Also not entirely sure how I feel about him after he had a hand in convincing Essendon to pry Dunkley out...

We need change its good. Bevo still runs the ship and its a pretty tight one lads no need to fear

People don't want change because they're happy with the status quo, or worse, they want to promote from within our own ranks. I'm a strong advocate that coaching personal need to change every couple of years to keep it fresh, just like politicians.

So rather than losing the players, Bevo's lost the coaching panel?!

Malthouse used to just have Alec Gardiner and Wayne Walsh in the box when he coached us. I reckon Bevo can do it with Rohan Smith and maybe get Dale Morris back. Be the first team to win it from outside top 4, and only 2 assistants. Bevo loves a challenge. Maybe get Morris back on the list as a rookie too, playing backline assistant coach.

Dale Morris is involved with the club. He was one of the ones that had to go due to soft cap issues with the Covid cap. He is working in club membership area, looking after the coteries after Finley stepped away from it.
So in short he hasn't left.

Would be surprised and a little concernEd if we don’t get someone from another club with a proven record.

We need fresh ideas. Dees coaching took us apart limb by limb and only the individual brilliance of a few being Bont and Treloar saved us in the 2nd and 3rd.

Hope Bains and Grant understands this and are not just Bevo yes men. maybe King and Hansen wanted to explore a club where they could voice an opinion.

I didn’t account for the 20% discount. If we can turn Lipinski and Young into another 400 odd points, which we should do easily, we’d be covered for a bid at pick 2.

Net result being Darcy for 17, Lipinski and Young.

That was it. King’s role also included the midfield/stoppage role as a double up. Covid hit. The rest were development coaches.

Would not even speculate based on SEN reports.
I think both BArker and Hart we’re on SEN recently hence why their names came up
