So the Grundy to the Dogs narrative was just a smokescreen as we nail our real target in Pendlebury, eh Scrag?

What do we think, 4th rounder for Pendlebury, and they pay a portion of his salary?

The whole football world knew he was going to Melbourne, I'm not sure what point you've been trying to make. It's moot now anyway, as he is now at Melbourne.
People genuinely seem to think that these deals aren't done in advance and that players dont have any agency or dont really care about where they end up.

Once made public. All these deals are just a question of haggling over price and a bit of face saving posturing.

The amount of times that people state that a particular player like Grundy would be perfect for us and then constantly moan about why he isnt being linked to us. Just flies in the face of all reality.

I really hope mediation doesn’t occur for Dunks trade, I’d suggest it goes something like this - well Brissy offered F1 and you want 2x firsts so middle ground is 1st & 2nd etc. judging his value off the shit offer Brissy have put forward not what his real value is

Has a trade ever been to mediation? What is the process, do we have to accept what the AFL deems as fair? Surely not as that is very very subjective and someone will come off second best, most likely us up against their previous northern states ****

Paddy Ryder has when he switched from Essendon to Port Adelaide. The deal held everything up in true Dodoro fashion

Okay the AFL really needs to get involved with stuff like this, a future 3rd for Bowes would be fine if a bit unders but to get pick 7 on top is insane.

More baffling is how the hell Geelong can handle the salary dump. I can only assume by agreed retirements.

What’s the development of Raak looking like? I haven’t paid close enough attention, I know he’s been moved forward at times but is he likely to break through or is it a bit unknown still?
Yes I've watched Cody in the magoos reads the play well down back and can play forward kicked 3goals 5 in a interclub game in February.

Somebody really needs to explain the benefits that the Bowes deal has to Gold Coast to me.

Please use simple words.
Bowes' contract is heavily back ended and if they keep him they can't afford to sign both Rowell and Anderson in the next 12 months. Geelong are taking on his salary and getting pick 7 as a reward.

Ned Guy style, kicking the salary cap can down the road keeps biting clubs on the arse.

Is. He. Any. Good but?

I guess this is a consequence of being set up to fail as a feeder club in the same way that GWS gets pillaged year after year.

Its a death spiral that neither club will ever be able to escape from and its the same problem that will inevitably befall a Tasmanian side.
