Good because he is going to be the next John Butcher. Can't believe how much love he gets on this forum. Any other year he would be picked up in the 40+ range. He is a one dimensional in between player.

I do. In another draft I agree I don't think he'd be talked about as a top 20 prospect but I think he'd still be in the top 30 especially given your argument only seems to be based on an assumed lack of versatility. Yes he is purely a forward but he plays that role very well imo, on that logic we shouldn't have taken Lloyd where we did (1st pick in the Freo mini-draft in 1995).

Battle has stated he wants to be able to move trough the midfield and he got a few chances during the year. He is dangerous inside 50 and works hard up the ground aswell. He tackles and puts pressure on. He could easily fit into an AFL club as a 3rd tall like a Membrey or Gunston getting 30-40 goals a year
