Pretty sure he won our goalkicking in his debut year 1994
I remember him being full of promise as a big full forward but then ended up playing for about 51 different clubs.

Was going out with a Japanese girl at the time and she loved him for some reason (trivial/boring/irrelevant piece of trivia for ya)

What is the relevance of your post - Gave reasons why its possible the club will target midfielders in the 2016 ND - And 2017 is apparently strong for talls.
Because since Lloyd retired we go after mids. Then as an after thought those mids that often go forward we try and turn them into KPF.
Father son for Joedan doesn't count furthermore the 2006 Gumby experiment blew up in our faces. Carlisles into snow doesn't know who, where or what he is.
We need a KPF from this draft and who gives a t.oss about next years draft that is end of next season away.

All this talk of height for KPF is rubbish, it's about presence, power, agility and most important how many sausage rolls you kick.

Ablett Snr, dunstall, modra were not excessively tall to name a few

the age is reporting that gws will lose the 2nd overall draft pick and a second round pick.

might help get a slider at our second pick
If Essendon bid on Setterfield. Which I doubt will happen.

It's not pick #2...

Fairfax Media believes the Giants could lose selections 15 and 37 in this year's draft.

AFL gave them prior warning..

GWS traded down to pick two in the draft to secure a top-end talent and still have sufficient points with later picks to claim highly rated draft prospects Will Setterfield and Harry Perryman.

It is understood the Giants were mindful during the trade period to not only secure sufficient points from early draft picks but also to safeguard those points with enough picks in the event of an AFL sanction over the Whitfield affair.

Richmond traded the Giants their future first-round pick so, in the event of a shortfall of points needed for academy players in this year's draft, they could go into deficit until next year and still secure the academy players.

If your good your good it shouldn't matter
Very good points! If you go by the top 10 all-time leading goal-kickers (not including Leigh Matthews because he didn't play as a key forward):
Tony Lockett - 191 cm
Gordon Coventry - 183 cm
Jason Dunstall - 188 cm
Doug Wade - 188 cm
Gary Ablett Sr - 185 cm
Jack Titus - 175 cm (did play as his teams full forward)
Matthew Lloyd - 192 cm
Peter McKenna - 191 cm
Bernie Quinlan - 193 cm

In today's game though I will admit that the average height of players seems to have increased so in that respect it sort of makes sense that the argument that to be a key forward you need to be 193-194 cm+ but who cares really as long as they help you kick a winning score in the end.

It's why I like Josh Battle as a prospect, I don't care if he's only 192 cm and not particularly versatile. If developed as a bullocking full-forward there's really some fairly substantial upside with him.

Aaron Francis might go ok up there as well.

Reckon he'll be utilised as a 3rd tall mostly, he's certainly tall enough to play as a KPP but for mine playing him at full-forward would detract a bit from his mobility, etc. He's still very much my favourite player from last years pool and I reckon he's got all the tools to become the best player out of that draft.

Apparently Battle is 194cm and not 192 as listed. That doesn't suprise me since he looked taller than that when I watched him

Battle measured at 192cm at the combine. Just dropping in here to say I'm 85 per cent sure McGrath is a Bomber- whether that's before a bid on Will Setterfield or not, I'm not sure...

Based off anything?
