What do you think it would cost us, Sco? Could we acquire him without compromising our need to draft talls?

Definitely. That first selection of ours is off limits as far as I'm concerned.

There's a lot of water to go under the bridge so the best I could offer is what I would deem to be his value. Personally pick wise he falls into the late 1st early second range because I don't think you're going to find better than him once you start picking in the mid 20's.

From there it depends on who we lose and the contract we offer him. As it stands he'd be a clear upgrade on Greenwood, Aish and Broomhead. People will say we don't need mids which I don't agree with because I don't think you can ever have too much quality. He's quality!

Draft picks are the most over rated commodity in world sport. Let's get stars in!

I'm a big fan of Fiorini, I'm just not sure he'd be a good fit for our list. He seems to play his best footy in the midfield opposed to half back, and the last thing we need is another player trying to squeeze into the midfield rotation.

With the massive imbalance of the list I feel we need to invest in talls the next couple of drafts. So unless we could get him for below his trade value we might be inclined to pass on him.

Future 2nd rounder would probably get it done. Don't usually land quality talls with 2nd round picks anyhow. Best ones gone by then

Hawks tried that and look at them Now
They won 3 flags in a row TD.
I would be more than happy to bottom out for a few years if it meant we won 3 flags.
It got them 3 flags
Hawthorn supporters will just have to content themselves with the 3-peat DVDs during the rebuild, then...

Wish i could say the same thing and watch a 3 peat of DVD'S Grand Final Victories from Collingwood and no not from the 1950's,I would be content.

Well they are way better Run and Coached Team and Where Actually Dominating when they started
Mate, you're the one who tried to use them as an example of why you shouldnt trade your picks, and no they weren't dominating when they started. They began trading out their top picks in 09 when they went in to freefall and missed finals.
