Darling is not a top line forward. If he was a 50+ goal genuine key forward then you could talk about him that way, but as it stands with him what you see is what you get. He's an undersized key forward who will kick 40ish goals per year but will never be a genuine leader of a forward line. If a first round pick were to come in to play, particularly when it's a pick 6 like we'll have, I'd be putting my money of picking up a kid in the draft who could become a genuine star rather than a mid tier key forward like Darling.
Is Fas worth a first round pick? Nope, but I'd rate him a solid second rounder. Darling is definitely worth more than him, hence why Fas and steak knives. The fact you're even asking about whether Fas is worth a first indicates that you think Darling might be worth a first round pick and steak knives, which means that you're the one here grossly overestimating your players value.
Cut it with the emotionally intelligent bullshit. If you can't be respectful to posters on an opposition board then you can **** off back to the WC board.
See l have a problem with this player or that will not be in our next premiership, manly cause l did think some of are 1990 players would not be and "2010 as well. One does not simply know, when or who will be in itI am changing my user name to CFC2020
There will be 22 players on our list that won't be in the team in our next premiership year. You don't delist players simply because they aren't a clear best 22, especially if they're still relatively young and have been performing well. You delist Thomas (& Keeffe) Apex36 because we did the right thing by them........it was part of Perts culture revolution but we owe them nothing now...........it might be harsh but it's fair.
Neither of those players will be in our next Premiership IMO.

Since when do contract extensions get decided on the back of a single performance? Was rubbish against the Cats.........we owe him nothing now.

40 goals is great, no doubt. But a 40 goal a year forward is not a top line key forward, as old mate claimed. It's a rung below and as such, shouldn't command the currency of a top liner. A first round pick in the teens or Fasolo + sweetener is fair.I wouldn't underrate 40ish goals.
Would have won our goal kicking last 3 years.
Just sayin.
You could be right, just seen to many who should have been and a few who are that should not, to really knowDon't want to sound arrogant left at home but I haven't go many wrong along the way
If Keeffe and Thomas won a premiership I would have no problem saying I was wrong.
Last player I called was Leon Davis.
Since when do contract extensions get decided on the back of a single performance?
I'm going to jump in a week early. I'm also going to be very aggressive in my thoughts on trading this year. If Buckley stays then the following players have to go. I would be sounding out Roos, Bomber to start with but I am expecting Buckley to stay. Don't know how I feel about this!
Delist:
Blair
Oxley
Mayne
Mackie
Trade (If no suitors then delist):
Smith
Sinclair
Thomas
Keefe
Retired:
White
Trade Table:
Fasolo
Cox
My ideal trade and free agency period.
Major need of the club are players with speed and skill..Especially players that can hit targets under pressure.
FA: Steven Motlop (185cm)
Trade: Prince of Perth to a Perth team in exchange for picks which will be forwarded to GWS for Devon Smith (176cm) or Jacob Hopper (187cm).
Draft:
6 Brander (195cm) or Fogarty (192cm)
36 Haulahan (185cm)
53 Dom Barry (182cm)
57 Dixon (195cm)
Rookie
6 Hayes (175 cm)
24 Brown (188 cm)
42 Domic (182 cm)
60 Barry (191 cm)
He is averaging 17 disposals and just under a goal a game after 2 years out, and has cleaner hands than 90% of our players. He is a far superior player to Blair, which is an extremely low bar admittedly. It is quite funny that you should put him in the Blair category though while saying he won't be in our next premiership tilt. Last time I checked Blair has a premiership medallion! He is no good Apex.......he is 26 next year.......I have him in the same group as Blair.
He doesn't make us better.........Daicos/Brown does IMO........play them instead.
What's the rationale behind Barry Rorza? I'm assuming it was the same one that was delisted by Melbourne because he wanted to head home? What sort of football has he been playing?I'm going to jump in a week early. I'm also going to be very aggressive in my thoughts on trading this year. Yeah it is a pickle, maybe we can trade Mayne or some of the others still in contract for picks 105, 106, etc. Won't get anything back other than freeing up list space. We would face a pretty big payout for Mayne? Though, agreed.... he is junk.
Agree with all of your other suggestions.

Yeah, wants to get back in the system. Moved to Adelaide, doing training in teaching I believe and playing in the SANFL. Playing really well off the half back flank. Still only 23.What's the rational behind Barry Rorza? I'm assuming it was the same one that was delisted by Melbourne because he wanted to head home? What sort of football has he been playing?
If Gaff and Darling were on the table would the Pies be interested and what would be reasonable?
Its obvious the pressure is on to make finals next season and 18 yr olds take time to make an impact.
The only players the club should be looking at if we are serious about getting back to finals
Jake Lever
Mitch McGovern
Tom Rockliff
Levi Casboult
Darcy Tucker
Harley Balic
Stephen Motlop
Jarrod Harbrow
Trent McKenzie
Devon Smith
Jacob Hopper
Josh Kelly
Ryan Schoenmakers
Taylor Duryea
Jackson Trengrove
Dustin Martin
Jack Redpath
Lucas Webb
Some of these guys are available through FA, some will be obtainable through a swap if draft picks or fringe players. Either way the club needs to be looking at players with particular skill sets and of course positional requirements.
I think about 4 of those listed are obtainable. Two who l would like to see are Lever and Redpath in B & W next year.
Gaff is a 25 year in his prime, he's quick, 8th in the league for disposals, 4th in the 2016 Brownlow, from Victoria, former pick 4. Darling paired with Moore could take us into finals. You're taking the piss yeah?
Ok.... so because one player showed clean hands the others clean hands are overrated? Don't really see the logic there. When Blair got a Premiership he was exactly what we needed at the time.
Like I said happy to be proven wrong..........Thomas's clean hands are overrated IMO because Daicos in one AFL game showed clean hands.
Gaff averages 30 nothing disposals a game. No hurt factor at all. Why do you think WC posters are floating his name as trade bait? He's not that great, and he really doesn't fill a need for us either, so why would we pay through the nose for him? Makes no sense.Gaff is a 25 year in his prime, he's quick, 8th in the league for disposals, 4th in the 2016 Brownlow, from Victoria, former pick 4. Darling paired with Moore could take us into finals.
