Not sure saying in your earlier post that they in a DECENT position is accurate given the aging superstars. By any measure they don’t look like improving with those 5 in their best 22 and losing Kelly ( Stevens is a downgrade). While adding Jenkins will not stop the decline IMO.

As per all my previous posts, this isn't about Geelong and what they are doing. It's about Collingwood and what we aren't doing. Just because you or I don't think Geelong have a hope in hell of winning a premiership, they're doing everything in their power to compete. Why aren't we doing the same?

Given that it looked like a case of first in best dressed with Jenkins we clearly didn't rate him.

Perhaps we're looking at doing a bit of last minute wheeling and dealing on draft night when some clubs might be keen to shift out earlier 2019 picks after their targeted players are taken by someone else before then?

All I can say at this point is I hope Beamer, Langers and Big Coxy come back and have cracking seasons, together with all our kids coming along next year - virtually no meaningful list turnover this year when everyone around us in the 8 is bolstering their list in areas of need (or adding luxury pieces) is a little scary.
