the all australian under 22 team with just Daicos in it shows our lack of quality in the 20 to 22 year old bracket.
the club and Buckleys madness in toping up rather then rebuilding has left us with a lack of youngsters quality and key positional players.

I think Quaynor would have been in the side had he played a few more games. Stephenson has had a bad year, but he has shown his ability the previous two seasons with 62 goals. Sier has quality and may well be back playing in the elimination final. Ruscoe has shown some ability, Bianco and Rantall we haven't seen, but have good wraps on them and will definitely see them next year playing senior footy. The Brown boys have shown their ability to play senior footy, so not sure where your getting the club has a inability to develop younger players.

If we can't land Cameron, i hope he stays in Sydney. I'll throw up if i have to watch another top 4 side take another key forward we've been into for years right from under us.

As much as I rate Daniher, and think he'd be a perfect fit for us, he just can't get on the park often enough. Plus i don't see the Bombers handing him over to us without a massive shitfight. Very rare deals get done between the Pies and Bombers, and Dodoro is a genuine peanut at the trade table.

Has to be Cameron or Brown, or we're going to the draft and looking to do a mini-rebuild, effectively ending Pendles chances at another flag.

I think that last line is probably the best for us. We're the oldest list, if we keep pushing it, we'll end up like St.Kilda after 2010 and spend hard time at the shit end of the ladder.

I think the window's gone - one key forward isn't going to get us a flag. It's not 2009 where we just needed one or two players.

We're due for a mini-rebuild - too many duds clogging the list.

I hear ya. Happens on every board but I’ve read some crazy stuff on Ben Brown recently. Averaged more contested marks per game than Hawkins last year but he’s not a KPF apparently.

Anyway, as I said here a month and a half ago, he’ll probably be at the pies next year and he will be great for you for the next 5 years.

5 more great years at 28 years of age...

That’s very doubtful and would be exceptional, rather than realistic. Particularly coming off what must be a reasonable knee injury.

You mentioned Larkey in your other post... He has currency, if you’re interested in trading him :)

We won't be the oldest when we delist Reid, Varcoe, Beams, and Dunn. Should drop our age profile. Mayne and Greenwood at end of 2021.

Do North shipping out Brown and considering bringing in 38 year-old McDonald from Melb?!
He’s on $700k - who pays that?

This all makes me very nervous about Brown
If his scans look anything like Tommy Langdons......run!

We need all three
So devils advocate

People who want one of these 3 + Daniher

Do we still pursue if
- Brown: we lose picks and cap for a guy that breaks down bc of knee?
- Cameron: great to have but what if he destroys our cap? If hes the tight one to bring a flag, grab him
- Wright: what has he done to to think he’s not a MWR forward and we lose picks and $?
- Daniher: great but risk and may ruin our cap and lost picks

We really need a KPF...4 are available
Do we grab them just bc available?
That’s like saying draft Wasley (or Freeman) just bc we need pace

This is not to be antagonistic, I just want to hear how they are the solution and still allows us to draft and not slide down ladder like St Kilda

This is antagonistic: sick of Pendlebury last chance at flag
We don’t get players for him - we get them for the club
Secondly, make the right picks and we rise quickly anyway

HahaHahahahahahahahahaha

This (straight from their board) is the kind of trade North supporters expect for Brown.

“ North Trade:
- Ben Brown
- 2020 Pick 57
- 2020 Pick 65
- 2021 Third Rounder
- 2021 Fourth Rounder

Collingwood Trade:
- 2020 First Round (likely 15-17)
- 2021 First Round”

No wonder they want to offload him. He’s got more currency than the reserve bank.

Reef won’t impact immediately. RCD will.
He’s been on Richmonds list for two years and hasn’t got a senior game. You have no idea whether or not he’d make an immediate impact, or even be best 22 for that matter.

Have to agree here. All I’ve heard about him is hype, yet why isn’t he playing?

He’s a bigbodied midfielder. They usually take time to develop. Think Sier & JPK.

Richmond’s midfield is stacked and they prefer speed over size which explains why he hasn’t gotten in a look in. He’s been an emergency several times this year.

Not trying to start an arguement and i understand I’m on your board.

But I actually think that’s what it will be. Two late first rounders, change back for points for reef and daics.

Richmonds midfield is no more stacked than ours. Sounds like you’re just swallowing unwarranted hype tbh.

They won’t do that again after the Beams debacle. The glasshouse would get burned down.
