Gunston this year was on track for 50 goals in full quarters once again for like the 4th time in the last 6 years. Does everything you could want a fwd to do, gets team mates involved , kicks goals, beautiful skills on both sides, a great mark, great leader. I don’t think Phillips and a 2nd will be enough. I think we only trade him if the offer is too good to refuse and IMO pies should Do everything they can to get him his a great fwd better then Ben brown who is scared of contact.

There is no harm in putting forward the question. Then a discussion can be made what would be a worthwhile trade. If it can get done, then great. If not, well, you lose nothing by trying.

You are saying brown wouldn’t fit in but Gunston would? Gunston is smaller than brown and is not a pack marking 1v1 beast. I’d take both for the record, but Gunston would cost a lot more being contracted. I don’t understand how you think browns worse for us.

It would be worth it pies biggest issue has always been a reliable goal kicking fwd that can do a bit of everything, not like the first Is gonna be a top 12 pick. Well see how it plays out but Phillips a 2nd won’t even get the convo started

This is the point. Why would hawks trade Gunston for a 2nd rounder? I don’t see it happening.

Gunston would be a much better pick up. He’d slip perfectly into the forward line. Brown would need to be the central figure. If Brown didn’t fire the whole forward line would be dysfunctional.

Elliott has been linked to the Hawks this year, I think there's enough currency there to get him to the Hawks, Gunston the pies and a swap of our picks this year for picks next year that will help in getting N. Daicos.

If throwing in Phillips means that hawks would pay a portion of Gunstons salary, it would be even better and help us land Cameron or Brown:

Logan McDonald wold go to North pick 2 or 3?you’d think. No wonder they’re happy to offfload Brown. If pies can’t trade into top 10 to secure Reef with second pick then trade it out. Get Norfs first rounder 2021 (prob pick 1 or 2) and swap some players (Brown for peanuts)! Happy days!
