If he went to the Gold Coast for the rumoured reasons, I have no issue with it. Going to be a long few weeks I think with the chatter either way. Which of course the "journalists" will be salivating about

The "journalists" are the ones starting it mate, they start it...then they get to "report" on what they started.....

Why tf would/should we trade away Treloar for Merrett. They’d both be in similar coin, Treloar is better IMO and he has great friendships at the club already. It doesn’t make sense that we’d trade him to a Vic club just because and then get Merrett. I’d say if Treloar leaves it’d be him wanting to go to QLD even though he said he won’t and Merrett will be the back up plan. I just don’t understand, really hope it’s all media bullshit and he stays.

Do you think the club is concerned with AT's hamstrings, which seem to have affected his pace and penetration in his kicking?

He may say now it's fine, but when his wife and baby daughter leave him for a year he may seriously struggle, on and off the field.
In fairness, Final Fantasy VII has been recently remade, so he’ll be perfectly fine for 10 months with no partner and kid.

Knightmare is he on Rowells level?

I did a video going into this for my YouTube channel (see signature).

It's the 'Better than Rowell?' video.

The short summary is I'd take Rowell. But the finals series of Phillips last year which I used as a fair sample to allow for same number of games and same quality opposition (as all APS kids are playing) - Phillips was both statistically superior and on impact superior to what Rowell did at the same age - even through Rowell in the Grand Final as an underager and again last year won B.O.G honours. Rowell was the best player in last year's finals series, but Phillips' finals series with on parr with the likes of Serong and Flanders. On impact and consistency similar to Rowell, but on numbers not that extremely high. But better than Anderson who was below expectation last finals series. So that's pretty incredible company, and doing this a year younger than those guys, he's legit and the clear best mid in this draft.

Some may say Hollands is a better midfield compared to Phillips, but at this stage he's the better forward and he's special with the impact he can have on the outside, but I don't see him as that same volume ball winner or developing that same level of inside game. Hollands should go before the GC pick, but if for some strange reason (most likely injury as he's coming back from knee), he'd be a good get, though I'd prefer keeping Treloar personally, with Hollands not as sure of a pick to me, having not really improved last year.

why did he go back as an assistant if he left on such bad terms?
Is it possible it was not as bad as you were led to believe?

You asked if we had done it before.....I gave an example.

Your follow up questions above are irrelevant mate.

Possibly. I can’t explain why we’ve been pushing so hard to trade him (going by reports which could all be fake) otherwise. If he doesn’t want to go to QLD why would the club possibly trade him. If he ends up in QLD I’ll be accepting but if he goes to a Vic side I’d be pissed off. Moore’s hammies got through unscathed this season (touch wood), so unless they’re screwed I think they’d try to back him in as he loves the club.

Surely there’s other players to look at that at this point of time are part of clubs still contending for the flag instead of the ones we’ve been speculating about so far.
