Be more motivated by GWS wanting to get a pick in before their academy players gets a bid and not having to sacrifice those early picks. Was it Green who was touted as a top 10 prospect?

Yeah it’s all just semantics isn’t it? The only definitive statement Ramanaskus (Cox manager) made this morning was that Collingwood did not put Cox on the table.

Doesn’t mean we haven’t now thought about it but Essendon must have asked about him in some capacity.

That is the most likely scenario of the lot - Essendon looking for someone with ruck/forward credentials now they are losing the pr0n star.

I guess so, if it came to that. But as I said if they aren't willing to get a bit less to keep the list together, then maybe it's a good thing we can't sign them.

Historically I think it's fair to say we don't lose the ones we want to keep. And there are a few more besides the big names due to come out of contract next year, so it's going to be a very interesting year indeed in 2020.

Of course I'd love them to sign, but I'm a team above individual thinker as well
