he’s a campaigner of the highest order.
1 disposal in the GF—-couldn’t have happened to a better flog.

I'm not sure assessing him against his worst game of the season does him justice, Averaged over 12 possessions, over 5 marks, and just under 2 goals a game in 2019 which is not to be sneezed at.

Mind shedding some light on how he's a flog? Only flog-like behaviour I've ever heard him exhibit was when GWS came down here to Hobart last year he was very direct and to the point with a friend of mine on Tinder, but that's pretty par for the course for a 20-something footballer on Tinder.

Not sure about others, but I don’t mind guys that have a bit of that “look at me” about them. We have JDG and Cox in the nauseating USA way. That’s about it. That’s not excusing his behaviour on Tinder though, because they get all sorts of training around that.

every time he plays watch him closely—-when things go his way he always plays the tough guy and throws his weight around like some sort of heavyweight.

When it’s not going his way....you don’t even see him or hear boo—-which is exactly what happened to him in the GF

As long as they can back it up & get regular games, so far these 2 borderline

That said I’m more than comfortable for us to move JDG on. Just have this uneasy feeling about troubled waters a head for him and us.

It happens as the game has turned into a more possession based game coaches have realised its easier to get the ball when you play behind it. So they like putting their better players down back so they can dictate the game.
Plus with changes in the game, being a KPP is no longer about one on ones - due to sagging off tactics. Due to this, forwards often get swamped, whereas defenders get more chances to run and jump at it unimpeded, so coaches at all levels are beginning to play some of their better marks in the back half - guys who would have been automatic forwards in days gone by.

Were we legitimately linked to him or was it just draft gurus in the media making a correlation between our need for a KPF and where Georgiades was expected to go?
That's it. It's who was expected to be around our pick, and we could have selected. I don't know for sure from a club perspective we were interested, but just what the draft people were saying.

We where heavily linked to him Pre-Draft and Just giving an Update
He was a forward that was linked to us/we might have be interested in him before port picked him up.

First off who linked him to us? Journo’s with less idea than 90% of posters on her. Second he’s now a Power player so who cares?

He was also a key forward, many thought was a list need and was around the mark For our first pick. Mostly speculation rather than anything concrete.

i hope he has a good career but keen to focus on the guys we have.

I can appreciate why TD posted it.

LOL You could've asked & answered this in your first reply post.

You knew the answer & you knew what your response would be. :D

I hope he goes well too we just don’t need to clog up our board in a trade/ FA thread on him. Final point from me.

Anyone who saw him as filling a list need falls into the 10% that know as much as journos. We’re stacked in the undersized KPF role.

I was going to argue earlier that he was a tall, but not KPF, but didn’t want to start a debate on it.

I coincidentally had the displeasure of meeting Jeremy Finlayson only a couple of weeks ago when a few of my buddies wanted to hang out with some of their other mates and Jeremy was one of em and gee he is a fairly obnoxious bloke, just rates himself very highly. Man can play, but he doesn’t have the competitive edge that I personally want to see in our forwards. Too many of our forwards rely on A-grade delivery to be effective, we need more forwards who can find their way to goals even when things aren’t 100%.

Great news. I fully suspect he'll be a year-by-year rolling contract from now on.
Yes I think you are right he will be on a yr to yr basis and I would love it if he cracks 350 in this day and age it would be a fantastic achievement. He has been so consistent you would think he will get to 350+and then go into coaching somewhere hopefully here but I would not mind if he started somewhere else 1st and then came home as he has been here since he was 18 and may need to broaden his experience somewhere different.
