That's a good deal if we can pull that off.

Can't sit around and wait for the Dogs until next week just to say 'No'. We've offered up more than reasonable deals involving pick #11, if they lose out it's because of their own greed.

I can see 24 for Saad more or less working but not sure on how we can land Stringer as things stand. We may need to part with a promising and/or decent player to land a high enough draft pick to work into any deal. I don't want us to lose our 2018 1st, no club should miss out on the 1st round 2 years running in my opinion.

2 x firsts with a second coming back (adeliade's pick 35 which is not great in this years draft).

Hated the deal for Treloar, but don't mind it for a key back, they are far more valuable.

I highly doubt we would go for the extra second if we didnt have some indication that Richmond would help us out in doing it. The Age reported we had floated it by them already.

Stringer would be nice to get, but only for the right price. If the Dogs want to try and bend us over, we should walk away from the deal rather than giving up our left nut just to appease them.

If worse comes to worse and we don't get Stringer, we are only missing out on a highly talented player that comes with quite a lot of risks. WHILST gaining two upgrades this offseason, moving into next year's draft with 3 picks in the first 2 rounds.

I agree. It'd just be a shame to miss out on a player of his calibre when he's obviously available to us. Especially after spending the last 3-4 weeks watchng his highlights & picking his jersey number haha

This trade all but confirms Stringer is coming. Jackets in now way would have done this trade under the circumstance that it wouldn't allow Stringer to be done!

probably not, and happy with that as well tbh.

We have a knack for finding and developing KPD's pretty well (Hurley, Hooker, Carlisle, Ambrose, Hartley), dont need to spend that much on one from another club.

In a way we are actually in a stronger position to get Stringer even if we use pick 24 for Saad, we can give the Dogs multiple picks from this year or next year's draft plus one or two players.

At least we have landed something and in the first week as well.
