So how do we land Stringer?

24 + 28 for Richmond's 17?

We definitely have enough currency to get Saad for sure

I'd take Saad first as he fills the role of Watson's ball winning style perfectly. Stringer has the ability to kick a lot of goals though and also play well around the contest when in form.

It would depend on what GCS are happy to take for Saad.
if they are happy with a future 2nd then it is straight forward, we get 24 and 28 and somehow turn that into stringer.
Otherwise we have 4 second rounders over the next two years, we can make it work.

AFL Website said:
DEVON Smith has gotten his wish to be a Bomber after the club traded its prized pick No.11 as part of a deal to land the Greater Western Sydney forward.

The trade is understood to have seen Essendon pass on its first pick at this year's NAB AFL Draft (No.11 overall) for the crafty forward, but the Giants have given back their second-round selection (No.24) and next year's future's second-round choice to Essendon.

As part of the deal Essendon is also set to give its third-round pick at next year's draft to the Giants.

It means the Bombers are one-third of the way to landing their trio of targets during this Trade Period, with the club also chasing Western Bulldog Jake Stringer and Gold Coast's Adam Saad.

But it is also a good deal for the Giants, who didn't have a first-round pick at this year's draft and looked set to enter proceedings in the second round.

Smith nominated the Bombers as his preferred destination after deciding to leave the Giants, where he played 109 games and kicked 100 goals. The 24-year-old will add extra firepower to the Essendon forward line and is also expected to run through the midfield.

Only way I see us getting Stringer at this point is if we can fluke one of Adelaide's first rounders for Francis.

Like many are saying, we have 4 2nd rounders. That for sure is enough for Saad and Stringer.

2018 gws & efc 2nd into stringer
Gives the dogs some points to use on west.
They can then look to swap their 2018 1st (which may be lost on west) into this years draft (swap with st kilda perhaps) and still be able to get west and a 2nd Rd pick

We turn 11, 2013 2nd and 3rd into smith, stringer and saad
Assume we will send 24 to gcs for saad

Maybe but highly unlikely, more likely to be one of the other options that has been posted on here;

24 + 28 for him
24 + 28 for Richmond's 17 then that for him
24 + next years 2nd for him

or maybe

next years 1st for him.

If we are offering anyone our 2013 2nd they are going to be sorely disappointed with that pick.

Trade radio saying Gold Coast are speaking with Carlton regarding Saad, trying to get the best deal. And we have offered our 2nd (29 after compo)
