None of the Essendon mods would do it, no.

man some of you ****ers really did a number on the dogs board over this stringer thing. Cant even have a simple discussion about it now.

Very disappointing. They are usually good guys to chat with.

Lol your Avatar may be a catalyst for them getting triggered.

If a port fan came in here with honest intentions to discuss patty after he nominated them.. with a similar AV.. we would of lost it.

i have had this AVA for a week. Was having good chats with the guys in there and they didn't give 2 shits about it. All of a sudden i come back 3 days later and shits hit the fan and they have banned us all.

Certainly wasn't anything to do with me.

No need to troll them in their own sanctuary, obviously. Low hanging fruit, if the shoe was on the other foot etc... we haven't even signed Stringer yet either. Team boards are rightfully off limits.

A good troll catches those that are expecting to be trolled, but fall for it regardless - anything else is just shitfighting

Bit of tension in here.

I haven't been trolling but good luck to those who have, we have been on the receiving end of it for years. I can understand why some people are getting some payback.

Ahh yes... the classic "WELL THEY DID IT TO US FIRST" defence. Bigfooty really is the adults playground at times.

Where did all this Kennedy talk come from?

Have we been actually linked lately or is it just fanciful suggestions?

It's the latter suggestion. But hey it's second week of trade and things are just starting to get a little crazy.

Trade talk for today:
Adrian Dodoro on the Jake Stringer deal:
“I think they're (Western Bulldogs) doing a little bit of work in the background to see what they can do with some picks at the moment.

I wouldn't say they've shut the door on that at all. We can only deal with what we've got. (Picks) 25 and 30 are good picks, two top 30 picks in any draft is a terrific outcome for any player. We did put an offer to the Bulldogs that had pick 11 in it and they declined that.

(GWS list boss) Craig (Cameron) was smart enough to jump on that (for Smith). It's given us Devon Smith straight away and will also help us possibly today to get Adam Saad done, so that will be two done with that pick. Hopefully that deal also helps us get Jake Stringer in the door this week.

The common theme is he's a contracted player. We've done our homework, we've done our due diligence and we think he'll be a pretty good fit for us and we'd like to bring him into the club.

But by the same token there is a price to pay and there is a price you don't want to pay and in this case we were under the impression there was a player leaving that was leaving his football club so in good faith we're talking to the Bulldogs this week and hopefully we get a deal done."

Manager Paul Connors on the Jake Stringer situation:
"They don't want him, so why would they want to keep him?

You've got to be careful, because when he's contracted it's harder, there's less options. He's going overseas today, if he doesn't get traded by Thursday he might stay there if he's having a great time. Given we didn't initiate this – and they can say it was a mutual decision to explore options, I'd like to challenge that because Jake wanted to stay – now they've said they want him to go, it's time to go.

If they don't trade him, he'll go very cheaply the following year, you would think."

25 and 30 with some later pick swaps, perhaps.

There's quite a lot of players who have nominated clubs and still haven't had their deals done;
Charlie Cameron (Adel to Bris)
Josh Schache (Bris to Victoria somewhere)
Lachie Weller (Freo to GC)
Harley Balic (Freo to Melb)
Gary Ablett (GC to Geel)
Matthew Kennedy (GWS to Carl)
Nathan Wilson (GWS to Freo)
Luke Hodge (Haw to Bris)
Jack Watts (Melb to Port)
Brendon Ah Chee (Port to WCE)
Stewart Crameri (WB to Ess?)
Jake Stringer (WB to Ess)
Mitch Honeychurch (WB to GWS)

Of those, the Honeychurch trade could possibly still impact us, which might in turn have something to do with the Kennedy and Wilson trades.

I'll put my hand up. I went there in good faith and couldn't handle some of the absolute bile I was reading, and I reacted. Won't happen again... maybe.

I wonder if the Dogs would prefer pick 24 and GWS second rounder over pick 24 & 30?

Because if we managed to keep pick 30 I'm sure GCS would trade 37 and 39 for pick 30 seeing as they already have too many draft picks.

How embarrassing for the doggies. I know you don't eat your own but everyone can see they've cooked themselves in this trade except their own. They need to put their supporters out of their misery and surrender, cause at the moment, their false hope is just sad.
