Is this article for real...unbelievable, basically just saying we should roll over...

should let our two best goal scorers just leave for street cred? Whilst contracted?

Sounds awesome. Anything else we can do to help the competition out?

I'm assuming this is a two way street and we didn't just burn 2x 1st rd picks on a player who wanted to come to us? yeah?

Hopefully we can be as quick and professional as Geelong were with the Kelly trade. After all that was done in record time, one year and three days.

I’m sure if Sydney coughed up more than any club has ever coughed up before it would get done pretty quickly too

What he is saying has some merit. I wouldn't mind if we took 5 and 25 for the sake of moving on and going for other trades.
Doing it for the sake of public opinion not so much. He can forget that.

The bit about Fantasia is a bit rich as well. He hasnt requested a trade, and if he doesnt want to go then there is not much we can do. We can also get SPP and 29 for a similar trade. Brand next year as a NGA prospect makes Howard less appetising anywho.

All in all, not a great article, but some interesting points.

It's always Essendon's fault, even when a club poaches our best forward mid season it's Essendon who need to get the deal done for some reason.

I love that this has something to do with the drug saga too, never change fairfax.

It’s not the worst as far as opinion pieces go.

I mean I disagree with it, but it’s not too badly written.

He does make a decent point about the club always showing more fight off field than on.
I think the worst part of the article is how pointless it is. Showing less fight off the field doesn't suddenly make us more competitive at the MCG.

If Daniher was at Sydney seeking a trade to us, the same exact article would be written.

Can i change my name to BNGBAKBJ - bring back Goddard

I much prefer his train of though about Wines and Peter Wright.
Look, he was finished (as a star), particularly in defense. The game became too quick for him - though he wasn’t terrible, just not his high standards.

In retrospect, his leadership and professionalism was and remains missed. Would he throw his hat in the ring for a comeback I wonder? He can play forward instead of Laverde. I’d back him to kick 30-40 goals.

Peter Ryan and his take on Tim Kelly last year.

Lol get in the bin Peter Ryan.

We have so many of his type that I’d have in front of him.

Think we have more of Bonar types than Cutler types. Laverde, Langford and Begley are all in that vain.

I think it's a paradox that depends on 'die' as a verb that implies taking a gamble. If the gamble is waiting it's paradoxical. I wish we would hurry up and win trade week.
Is your name die waiting, as in death? Or die waiting, as in german, for 'the waiting'?

Just asking the important questions.

I think we’d prefer one this year and one next year anyway.

A high pick this year then the ammo of 2x first rounders next year.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a 2020 first rounder. Do we expect the swans to slide even more than they did this year? On a whim? I do.
