I think Mckernan took 1 less contested mark (38) from 4 less games (16). So his average (2.3) surely would be higher than Casboults. Mckernan's production was very hot and cold, I don't see the point of having another player than can't finish in our disfunctional forward line.

I was using average of their careers. Casboult played a different role this year.

As I mentioned, we wouldn’t be picking up Casboult as a goalkicker “per se”.

It’s as much our poor entry into our forward 50 as it is our forwards.

Not really. From what I here we where happy to see what was on offer and Raz was open to going early if it worked out both ways. In the end the deal (whatever it was) was not what either side was looking for at this time.

Sounds like raz was doing the best thing for the club. Overall this is a win for us. Makes us look good too. May he have a great season next year then if he decides to leave I wish him all the best

It's taken me a few days to catch up, and there was some tough reading through the 20 odd pages in the last couple of days, highlighted by the penis references and the apples too, but I guess it takes all sorts to make a footy forum.

With Fantasia signing on, id love for Daniher to stay. With our inconsistent year with injury clouds over some big names, if JD does stay and we can add either SPP or bonar, I'd be quite comfortable with the anticipation of next year. Everyone was giving us the biggens before the season started and if we keep the list together, dump some spuds and add a big body mid, sign Jenkins before we get beaten to the punch and get in a kid or two, id be more then content.

Very interested to see what the club has planned.

To me it all sounds like it was Fantasia that wasn't offered enough. I'm presuming he was wanting to leave but port low balled him with length and amount, which is acceptable as been injured. So he cracked it and said I'll stay. So I believe he verbally said yes and then there was too many performance measures so he split. As shown by port being the unhappiest of all parties

Never said he wanted to leave this year. Said he was going to be a red and black player. Ended up staying.

I say we go all in Joe D now unless it's a top 10 pick and future first we hold Joe and try and change his mind and enjoyment for the game in 12 months.

If we get a productive season from Joe and Fantasia and Dev Smith returns for a full year then we either make finals and potentially win the one with the help of Joe. Or we miss finals Joe says he wants out as he continues not enjoying and a big deal to be a swan/GWS and we get a top 10 pick with compo

If it was me and someone like Fantasia in a similar position to JoeD and the way he's been identified in the media as to be wanting out I think would make it easier for myself to walk back through the doors with him. All eyes are on 2 and not 1 whether reality or not can be seen as that potentially in Danihers eyes. Daniher doesn't like the attention we know.

It would be much harder if I was the only one coming back and someone a profile like Fantasia had left

I must admit I didn't expect this type of experience for trade week this year. Hopefully JoeyD realises Hartley is f.o.s and that Sydney is a s.it hole to live in. Trust me Ive done it several times over the years. Maybe Mosman but the neighbours wouldn't be nice. The lifestyle reason is a cop-out. The plain truth is there are way too many humans (and who knows what else) that live there.

I want a trade period where we talk about SPP, Bonar, Cutler, Frampton, Jenkins and whatever left over ruck there is.

Next year we can load up again for the big trades.
