I wonder if a future first would be the way to go (instead of 2 firsts this year). Gives us a good chance to get a key forward in to replace Joe down the track. Although (if he doesn't leave until next year) we would have 2 anyway I guess if there is a Compo pick.

Edit: was just thinking the AFL timing to get rid of Compo picks would be about right to screw us out of getting one for Joe anyway.

Depends on how good and ready pick 1 and 19 are. No point in just making finals and getting flogged. We need to start building a team sustainable of prolonged success. Topping up hasn't necessary worked, so maybe going to the draft and getting star young talent in mixed with the experience we already have; might.
