Is there any way we could pry that Tom Nicholls from GC? - Looks so damn promising, and they already have bloody Smith Dixon and Gorringe! - Would not mind at all having a crack at him (pending contract status) or Bellchambers.

Imagine having a real quality ruck that contributes around the ground and can be a get out of jail long kick target! Things I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever see again at Hawthorn.

Nicholls didn't even look like getting a game this year untill GC suffered some serious ar*se injuries to its ruck division. they had no choice, He is raw he is skinny sometimes all it takes is the confidence of being given a shot and then grabbing it with both hands. It makes me wonder about Lowden rotting in the two's

Anyone know much about Kristian Jacksh? I know he was highly rated as a KPP for the 2012 draft and ended up going to GWS at pick 12. I hear he's unhappy with the giants. 195cm/85kg and GWS website has this to say about him "Tall forward/defender that is extremely strong overhead, averaging 5.6 marks and 13 disposals for Vic Metro in NAB AFL Under 18 Championships. Kicked six goals vs TAS in an outstanding performance and uses the ball well by foot when in defence. Makes good decisions with the ball, shows excellent vision and is a strong spoiler."

If.....and a big if.....Buddy goes to GWS, and can manufacture a trade rather than bend over and take the AFL compensation, then I wouldnt have a problem trying to get this guy into the trade somehow.

The other guy I wouldnt mind getting a look at is Josh Growden from GWS.
Was a pretty high pick and had a few wraps on him, but not getting a run.
He could just be one of those high draft picks that doesnt make it, or maybe he isnt happy at GWS....?
Might be worth a look for a later round pick ??

It depends what we are going for. If we are in full on 'win now' mode, then an experienced inside mid with pace is awesome. Unfortunately you have to keep an eye on the present and one on the future, so KPP players or players hard as cat's heads peppered with an inside mid with pace make the most sense to me.

I believe we need to inject a bit more pace through the midfield, with the likes of hill,anderson in there just a bit more mature players with established skils.

Would he ever be able to capture his pre knee problem explosiveness ?
Personally I am hesitant but that's only my opinion

If we could have one ruckman from another Club I would have Tom Bellchambers. He would walk into our best 22 and is x2 the better ruckman then what Hale is. He is a free agent at the end of the season. Just how much is Bellchambers going to command I'm not sure.

If Buddy stays I really would like to see us trade our way up the draft order to stock pile the best midfielders available. KPP a plenty on our list should Buddy stay but, as well documented, our midfield is in desperate need of replenishment this draft period to have it ready for 2015 and beyond.

Tim O'Brien is a player. No doubt. Definitely not drafted for the purpose of being on-traded for the sake of it.

Don't pigeon hole him as a KPF though, he's taller than Heatherly. In a couple of years we'll have no Gibbo or Lake so having Schoey, Heatherly & O'Brien/Brand to play along side Stratton will be quite handy.
