Yeah, even if Polec wants to go home (which we have no evidence for - only fanboi speculation), Adelaide are out of the frame. Port would be much more realistic.

I've heard similar. We are easy bait for homesickness rumours. You'd think all Brisbane supporters would have developed well honed bullshit detectors by now... but alas....

Very true. I spent the last 8 years in Melbourne (now in Perth) and always heard opposition supporters (who are friends and co-workers) say "why would player "xxxxx" want to stay in Brisbane, they are crap and this player has no future there, why wouldn't he request a trade to collingwood, richmond...." you get the point. They live in a fish bowl and when they see someone doing well for a supposed crap club they jump at it with trade rumour and further BS (yes, even some from bigfooty...gasp, feign surprise). People like Jay Clark, Jon Ralph, etc., think the same way.
Unfortunately, we won't be getting any respect from these guys until our team starts to rack up the wins.
Does anyone remember Lionsarethebest (I think that is that right user name) coming out with the Patty K is talking to Mick Malthouse bullshit in the same thread last year? Or Uptheguts regarding Jayden Post? Or even Terry Wallace on just about anything? If not, then please (for at least some of you) review what they wrote and try to hone your bullshit detectors.

I think the Lions this year will be bring in at least 3 talls through drafting/trading/FA this year. Would be stupid not to go after Buddy and at least make an offer. Carlile could be a good pickup along with Dal Santo.
I think we'll get more active in trade week in this year and the next. If we are building towards 2016 then you can't expect a whole lot of 18 year olds to reach their potential in 3 years' time. A 22-year-old like Watts should reach his potential in 3 years' time, thus we have a better chance of improving our side.

He is the in form key back in the league, why would Essendon let him go??? I was at the Freo v Essendon game where he tore Pavlich apart (albeit Pav wasn't 100%). He manned Cloke who is one of the top two key forwards in the game most or the day yesterday and beat him. On top of this he signed a two year extension in the past week.
Buddy would be great but who knows. Dal Santo is a saint for life.

Mate, I have no idea why you are bringing up Carlisle and I thought Dal Santo was a free agent, didn't realise he had signed a contract.

What would Alipate Carlile add to our team? What's the benefit of Dal Santo? Both are past their best football and would keep a developing footballer out of the team.
