Carlile is 192 cm 100 kg gorilla. From the games that I have seen him play he is excellent defensively and is an upgrade on Goose, who has trouble staying on the park. As to Dal Santo he would not be the number one mid like he is at St. Kilda, where he has been playing more and more inside roles. At the Lions the likes of Moloney, Redden and Rockliff will do that work for him allowing him to spread from contests. He is elite in that situation and will teach blokes like Karn, Rich, Polec, Mayes etc. His inclusion would also free up Rich. Te Lions are one of the worst teams for run and carry from contested situations and nothing has changed in the last 5 years. Best of all they both cost us nothing. Can you see I was replying to your "I don't understand" comment?
What would Alipate Carlile add to our team? What's the benefit of Dal Santo? Both are past their best football and would keep a developing footballer out of the team.
any chance of Rich coming home?
So you would choose Nic Naitanui over rich? Both WA clubs had their chance and they snubbed him.
From what I heard when I was out west a few years ago, apparently he was quite offended by both clubs passing on him after both expressed more than an interest prior to him being drafted.
So in saying that, I reckon if there was ever a chance he did decide to leave, which I don't, it wouldn't be to either WA side, and rightly so.
every day of the week and twice on sundaySo you would choose Nic Naitanui over rich?

Would be a great pickup but he came out during the week and said hewantneeds to stay at the Bombers to repay for thefaithpeptides
u said we past him on our second pickWhat does that have to do with my original post?

There you go
oh god.... He doesn't have to, he basically gave it away... GeeezUhhh... says nothing about a second pick...
There you go
it's called paraphrasing, you said"both clubs snubbed him" meaning ignored him, Rich was going to be a top 10, we only 1 pick in the top 10, which basically means you're we passed on him. But i'll leave it at that. Are you illiterate?
I said BOTH WA clubs had their chance and they snubbed him, right. You do realise there are two clubs in WA right?
You then follow up with "u said we past him on our second pick", correct?
I then followed up with "can you please quote where I said anything of the sort", obviously in reference to, and I will spell this out as clearly as remotely possible: Quote, where I said West Coast passed on Rich with their second pick?
If you can quote where I said West Coast passed up Rich with their second pick, then you got me, but otherwise, you have just made a fool of yourself.
ok i'll go, sorry. Don't card me please.Dkalphyliveson, this isn't going well. Off you go, mate.
guys he failed a medical with freo and im pretty sure western bulldogs, he had shocking fitness, if he looked after himself better he'd be long gone from the bombersDIDNT the bulldogs offer him a huge sum of money....and he stayed at the dons despite hurley, crameri and ryder/bellchambers pretty much locking down the tall marking spots.

Although your point maybe very valid, there were many sources saying that gumbleton was freo bound, although freo wasn't happy with gumbletons fitness levels.Jobe Watson said about a week ago that the Western Bulldogs offered Gumbleton a lucrative 3 year deal at the end of last season. On the advice of Watson, his friend, captain and housemate, he rejected the offer and signed a one year deal to remain at the Bombers. Doesn't sound like the intentions of someone that wants to leave the Bombers.
I think the Lions this year will be bring in at least 3 talls through drafting/trading/FA this year. Would be stupid not to go after Buddy and at least make an offer. Carlile could be a good pickup along with Dal Santo.
