Trades: Round 9

has cyril peaked?

Probably, his B/E will be the same as his average but he won't be going down in a hurry. I think he will hover around 250-265k for the rest of the season. Very consistent so no need to panic and trade him just because you think he has peaked, he is averging 70. Saying that, if you have the money and think that a 20-25 point upgrade is one th best upgrades you can think of, by all means trade him.

Id say close too. My trades this week:

Out: Rioli, Houli

In: Valenti, Bartel

Houli is a major worry, and by trading Rioli I get ~$550k to play with. Between Bartel and Kornes, definately leaning towards Jimmy at the moment. Copping a zero (or two...) in the backs, but need to stick to the plan. Plus hopefully Chad will be back this week.

Travis Cloke has gotta go.

no idea what my plan is.
but my trades will revolve around that.
excited about Valenti though (6 tackles :D). maybe him.

14 trades left. time for some doubles.

I'm looking at these for this week

Out: Cloke, Rioli
In: Chapman, Valenti

But may leave the Rioli trade to the next week. I'll be needing cash to upgrade Gamble to either BJ or Riewoldt - when is he due back? He'll drop a to below $340k I would think.

Not to sure on which option is better at the moment, i think it could be pretty much a coin toss.

Gibbs (averging 80) ---> Corey (averging 110)
or
Rioli (averging 70) ---> Chapman (averging 95)

As i said not much in it at all, any reason to sway either way?

Chapman will go up if you don't get him this week, Corey will be around the same price. So that will give you a chance to get him this week.
I also think its more important to grab forwards when you can, there'll be another mid you can get soon, for example Bartel will be at a good price.

Am tossing up a couple of options
Option 1. Trading Houli to Corey

Option 2. Trading N.Thompson to B.Johnson

thoughts?

You don't always have to fix your biggest problem first, if there is a good upgrade option available then you should take it.
Aker to Chapman imo is definitely worth it, chappy wont be at this price again this year. Swan also looks like he's back to full fitness after the break, with salopek though I think he is good enough to keep around for a bit more, but I can also understand the rationale behind the upgrade.

Yes, Chapman is a gun DTer and is a bargain at his current price ... if he is that desperate to get him in, should only trade Aker if he is his worst forward. I'm guessing though he'd have at least 2 worse forwards. Rather use another trade to get the cash (Salopek to Swan is a waste, not much of an upgrade) and upgrade one of his crapper forwards.

Yeh fair point. I was kind of leaning that way also because Gibbs is much more capable of the big scores whereas Rioli isn't. Just so hard to pass on Corey or Bartel though, so hard.

I'm contemplating upgrading Deledio to Chapman.

Happy with my whole team actually, but want Chappy while he is cheap.

Then can upgrade Masten and Palmer the following 2 weeks for Cross and Bartel :D

Boak is the boy, and no one in their right mind would consider getting rid of Palmer for a long long time.

Gamble>Chappy is also on the cards.
Funny you say that... I'm contemplating getting rid of Palmer for Cotchin in 2 weeks, so then he can play on the field for 1 or 2 weeks, then I will use that cash (plus other spare cash) to upgrade Browne/Ebert to Corey or Bartel.

Surely this is a reasonable lot of trades?

But he is going so well, ave 83, is ideal number 6 for a bit longer. He plays Carlton next week, so another 80+ you would think, then Port at home. I'm sure he will get a spell at some stage. Another 2 weeks will give us a better idea. Not saying I won't upgrade him at all, but could be a while. Got heaps of other cash cows before getting to him.

If Cross or Kornes had a massive dip then I would consider upgrading Palmer for sure.

Definately doing:

Bird>Wellingham this week. 145k to do something useful with.

Gamble>Chappy
Boak>Bartel
Barlow>Burgoyne/Goddard/Milburn

If Chadwick plays this week I will hold of for his price to drop and grab him probably.

I will be making two trades this week, I've had enough, its time to fire up KMFC! Which trades I make depend alot on if Chad or Symes plays-because I'm not copping another zero in defence! I must win this week in my league.

Trade 1:
Cash in Rioli or Masten, depending on BEs and replacements.
Trade 2: Bring in Buddy for Porps, or flick Griffen for a gun midfielder.

If neither Symes or Chad comes up then it may be a single trade involving the removal of Brad.

Masten peaks next week, so ill be trading him to Cotchin then, netting 120k.

This week Im unsure, but probably no trades, especially if Chad or Beau are back.

At the moment, the plan is:
OUTS: Pfeiffer, Adcock
INS:: Myers, Marc Murphy

, then next week,
OUTS: Tippett, Hill
INS: Valenti, ROK/Gia/BJ

which would give me a team of:
BACKS: Cornes, Shaw, King, Milburn, Symes, Goddard, Ibbotson (SDT, Myers)
MIDS: Corey, Murphy, Goodes, Stanton, Stevens, Palmer (Ebert, Browne)
RUCKS: Cox, Simmonds (Kreuzer, West)
FORWARDS: Riewoldt, Brown, Pavlich, Didak, ROK/Gia/BJ, Porplyzia, Rioli (Valenti, Edwards)

Thoughts?

i need to dump two of N.Jones, T.Cloke and X.Ellis, in list of most needing the boot:
T.Cloke
X.Ellis
N.Jones

dont really know what to do thought

Maybe just Cloke to Pav or Buddy???
then wait for Chornes to get back and move the X man on......

I'm in the same boat with Ellis, however, after Guerra went down with his hammy i did think that maybe ellis would step in to take some of his cheap footy! I will keep him another week just to see what's happening...

At this stage for me:

Pfeiffer -> Myers (solid back emg) not sold on this one, but it would allow me to do...
Nicoski -> Fisher/Goddard

Then next week I'll look at going
tippett -> Valenti
Rioli -> Chappy
