Sellers is great. But who was that other vfl player that was moving like Ldu? Think he dished off a few into the goal square for some easy goals

how much of that is LMac and how much is clarko's 'hold the ball so midfield can come in' game plan. gut feel we're going to see a lot more of it this year
I doubt it. Anyone building a game plan around 5 steps into congestion then a ball up with an organisation like the AFL that will change the rules in between toilet breaks chasing an aesthetic has rocks in their head. They would penalise it out of existence.

Sam Lowson. He's a jet, but is 29 and lacks a bit of polish. I'd love to see him get a shot at a contender, or even with us if he's tearing it up mid-season, but probably unlikely at this point.

I'd suggest that Clarko has a fair handle on what leadership really is within a football club and what our current list and club needs right now. Luke McDonald is co-captain because Clarko says so. I do find it amusing that there are so many experts who think they know better.
Clarko may remember his old man going in to bat for him in the "battle of britain"

Seems a long bow, I reckon he has his eye on the mid-long term and sees a player that brings positives (on / off field) that outweigh negatives. He has a contract and I'm pretty comfortable that this football admin will make the hard calls when push comes to shove.

Good point

Except * are the pits at any time
Long game. Those games will be a distant memory if we can be winning finals before they even look like making one again.

Suprised there hasn't been more talk of Coopers performance in the intra.

4 goals, some good link up play, and some VERY clean half volley ball pick ups.

Very impressive for mine.

Laz got plenty, had some great disposal, but still not reliable as a 1 touch player, those little fumbles persist and will be costly in a real AFL game. Still not sold.

Will Dawson, we have a player, wont be suprised if he debuts this year.

B.George, im excited! hits the ball or player HARD, and that kick, penetration. Was shocked when Ratts said he may be the best we drafted in his year considering Sheez and Wardlaw but .................. I'll say again im excited!

Outside the obvious with the goals which seem very much right place, right time, right skill type of stuff his hands are what stand out the most. He is very 1 touch pickup. A massive asset.

Yeah totally agree, he was very good.

The thing that surprised me the most was his gut running both ways. One minute he was crumbing in the forward pocket, the next he was in the back pocket helping out the defense.

Wasn't one or two times either, it was all game. Impressive.

Just context around Ratten's comments - I took it as Brayden potentially being the most talented. Not necessarily the best overall player.

E.g. Daniel Motlop was more talented than Anthony Stevens.

Note sure if this was shared anywhere else but thought others may want to see another video from our Intraclub from Baseline.

I really don’t know why people call for the ball when Sheez has got it. If you are the best option. He will see you. He will find you.

Footballers footballer to use the term. But because he doesn’t have the athletic profile of other players tends to get overlooked. It depends what you prefer, to be wowed a couple of times or to be consistently impressed without that wow factor?

Give me the bloke that does the basics consistently well every time the opportunity presents itself, over the bloke that can do the miraculous only a handful of times a game.
