Well not your one regarding shiels. Did you see the 2km trials and shuttle run results?

Shiels and Greenwood provide experience and are basically extra development coaches at this point. If I'm list manager I want some sh*tmen and/or older players that I know will be definite cuts at end of year rather than having to shock the playing group by brutally cutting 2nd or 3rd year players who might need more development time.

Greenwood just doesn't get enough respect on here. He was the main reason we won the WC game round 1 last year when X went off. Herculean effort.

Sure that is one way you can go but that would leave a huge leadership vacuum in a team that just got very young. The Larkey/Simpkin/LMac group are just starting to grow as leaders and clearly don't know the standards and performance required that Shiels know's are elite. Greenwood you could say he's not from a premiership team so maybe they could've cut him but I suspect he had the trigger so they may as well pay him to play VFL/AFL or work in development or recruiting if you have to pay the player anyway.
