I know he looks shredded, but are we the only team not on the juice? The scales don't get much of a workout down at Arden Street.

We are still the skinniest team in the AFL i think. I suppose its not everything (athleticism, speed, endurance etc) but as ive said before the physical intimidation is something we should at least increase going forward

It rears it’s head when players like Taylor/Mahony/Scott get thrown off the footy because of their size, losing crucial 1v1 ground ball contests.

Then there’s the inability to hold tackles.

You mean we get to fly the flag again?.. I like it!

With Clarko coaching I think that's a given. Don't remember his teams ever taking a backward step.

It's just the vertical stripes that make us look thin.

Absolutely this. Can you imagine the likes of Mahony, Curtis or Stephenson coming after you in a tackle?

Not only would you be confident to push the rakes off but you know you’d be get out of the tackle easily

We should honestly have a few players like this around the ground. Just absolute physical bulls.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Cam Z looking huge and intimidating

After hearing clarkos speech though looks like the gym is not going to be ignored.

True...too be fair tho there isn't many of fogs shape and size around. Prob just him and hawkins

Going to be fascinating to see what Clarko does with Jack, there is no way he's best 22.

Does he make the call at some point during preseason or does he let him play the first couple of games so that everyone can see he's not up to and then drop him?
He has bulked up too much and lost any speed he had. Slim down and run run run would be the best plan imo.

There is a bloke down here at Rye, in a set of glow in the dark orange wheels, just cruising through some of the easiest laps you’ll ever see 🏃‍♂️ 🦘…. Better go and make sure 👍

If you had of told me that young arch would look like that after 12 months in the system I would’ve said you were dreaming….kid is ticking every box to get the absolute best out of himself.

Would like to know his time.

Fully expecting Sheezel to roll in and embarrass a few players next week given he runs a sub 6 minute 2km.

Which is finishing about half a lap quicker than Bailey Scott in his draft year.

I'm sure he will just pick his side on merit and if Jack features, so be it

Feel like this isn't spoken about enough. It should help him have an immediate impact, compared to the usual impact type draftees that need years to build a tank.

For sure.

Been a while since we've had some really elite 2-5km runners. We were pretty decent in that respect when we have Gibbo, Hibberd and Clarke on the list....shame none of them could kick.

Olli Hollands is described as a running machine and ready to destroy an AFL preseason. He ran a 5:54 2km at the combine

Sheezel finished basically on par with him in preseason testing and he’s at this stage a permanent forward.

Hopefully it puts it into perspective his work rate and why he gets so much of the ball as a permanent forward.

Also might illustrate how a guy can play one game in the middle for the year and notch up 37 touches.

Massive massive engine.

To put that in perspective Blicavs PB over 2km at the Cats is 5:39 and he missed Olympic qualifying for the 1500m by 6 seconds.

I seem to remember the best tackle of the year being laid by a North player (minus TTs that was deemed excessive force) was the absolute leopard on a gazelle take down that CT delivered at CHF against the tigers.

I think his tackling is fine. If he can be that 80-85-90kg player going forward, then regarding his tackling: it’s all gravy.
