I’d rather cunners at Arden st trying to set an example that a senior player is returning early.

Like jack has done and jy and Hugh and Luke and Kayne etc

Especially after having limited training and being around the group for the last year for obvious reasons
Oh **** off

I think it would be a smart move to shorten the season for Cunners...ie extended offseason and missing the first 3-4 rounds.

I think the second half of this season was like a pre-season for him to get back to being able to play, I think he needs the rest so he can go hard and peak for the start of 2023. He isn't a Clydesdale you can just flog non-stop.

Yup, he might have been underdone but he did get on the field at the end of the season. He knows his body and I'm sure the club will work out how to get him cherry ripe for the start of next year.

Nah, the tactical sub rather than medical sub will be used to good effect if need be. I think its also a good way to give kids more opportunity and inject fresh legs into a game.

I went for a look this morning, as I had the day off today.

Couple of things stood out to me. Lots of drills around creating pressure and taking space, and also quick ball movement in congestion.

The new guy’s didn’t train that much, so nothing to add there.

TT skills were on point most of the things that I saw, and from a fitness perspective credit to Jackson Archer, Lachie Young and Jack Mahoney who were ahead of Jy in some of the repeat sprint drills.

Nothing much else to add, but was great to see Clarko running the show

Thanks for the update.

Did you notice if Eddie Ford is back if so how is he looking and if he is training with forwards or defenders?

Yep - Eddie Ford was out there and participating fully (he nearly killed Jy in one tackle during a match SIM style drill). They didn't really split into fwd / mid / back groups to train that I noticed, but in the "match SIM" he was in the forward line.

Same drill, Jack Z was in the backline (as a bit of a general) - but neither may mean anything for the season proper
