The only thing making Kyogo more likely is that we need someone that could step in when needed but wouldn't expect to get much game time ahead of Haaland.

I think Gundo back would reduce the need to get a backup in.

Kyogo has a shoulder injury that likely needs surgery and 4 months out apparently. He's playing through it at the moment, surely no chance to sign at City.

He has needed the shoulder surgery since pre Celtic. He just doesn't want to do it. Pops out and back in every now and then. No big deal.
 
Of the players that Chelsea signed since BlueCo took over (not including academy players), they have sold/frozen out/intend to sell 8. That's just players signed in the last 2 years, which is quite a sizeable number for turnover. We've only sold that many across the last 2 years in general (players who'd been around for more than 2 years)

The only real success has been Cole Palmer.
