People on here undervaluing Witts: young, strong ruckmen who have shown in the past that they can take a grab--they don't grown on trees. Should be worth at least a late first-rounder.

It would be a good bit of business. Don't think its too far off a fair trade to be honest. Witts is pretty valuable, especially at his age. He said that Aish is staying put.

Believe what you want to believe. I'm not getting on here to spit out garbage. I was told be somebody who is reliable enough for me to log in on Friday night to share with fellow supporters. Still, plenty could change from now until then I guess.

Then why not just pick 7 for treloar?? Your basically trading witts for hampton??

Lol nah. That is a real simple statement. They may want Witts as well as pick 7 for AT and the pies are saying well we want Hampton involved also. I don't know the intricate details of their dealings but it's not 'basically' that at all.

Treloar is worth more than pick 7, and Hampton is worth less than Witts.
Maybe the Tigers can try and get Kreuzer. I'll be glad if they win that one.
Agreed.. With pick 7 they might get another treloar they might not, why would you trade when you already have a treloar

Fair chance the trade has already been done, handshakes have been exchanged, and they're now just waiting for the start of trade period to put the signatures on the dotted line.
Not sure why we would want him I would have him behind Langdon, Maynard and Shaz

So you rate as Witts close to 1 of the best Ruckman in the AFL?
How does he fall behind those players when he doesnt play that role, he plays the seedsman role on a wing,but with more pace and talent than seedsman

Now, I know next to nothing about Hampton but for a wingman his average disposals are dreadful. Wouldn't want someone who averages under 20 in that position :S
Look, there are only 3 options as i can see it to get treloar. They all involve our pick 7.
1. Pick 7 + Witts
Pro - We already have Grundy and Cox, and there are a stack of depth ruckmen we can target to replace, or alternatively get kruezer as a FA
Con - We lose a young ruck with huge potential who we have put years into
2. Trade Scharenberg to Adelaide for pick 13ish. Trade that pick with pick 7
Pro - We keep witts, and also have some depth in that position.
Con - He was a pick 6 and a future star.
3. Trade next years first pick
Pro - we keep our list and young talent
Con - we dont know where we will finish next year. It is feasible that we could have another top 10 pick in a much stronger draft. Thats too much to spend.
There are lots of variations on this, and likely we will target some players back from gws.
But i think one version of the above will happen unless there is a shock walk out from a quality player.
