If the MRP has any integrity then Cotchin must be suspended.

Honestly, he lead with his shoulder at the contest, struck the opposition player in the head and Shiel missed the final 3 quarters of a preliminary final because of concussion.

For mine it's a pretty straightforward decision.

It wasn't a dirty hit, Cotchin was going for the ball. Regardless he hit Shiel high, and Shiel will miss 3/4 of the game with concussion.
Cotchin has to get a week, can't be any other result surely.

If it was a Collingwood player like Steele sidebum he would get three weeks but the afl will look after the Richmond skipper. Cotchin should get two weeks going by the afl rule's this year even if it wasn't dirty.

The system is good the way it is with more flexibility in finals.

Cotchin should and will play.

We also want the best players in the finals and had an AA mid on the bench for most of the game due to cotchins hit.
