... move on before people start going hyperbolic like they did about Jackson Trengove Jasper Pittard etc, like they were god's gift to defending
In what alternate universe did that ever occur in?

Its the biggest turn around i can remember of one of our players. Deserves a new deal

Josh Mahoney 3 years in the VFL and then a 2004 premiership medal is a pretty big turn around in a player's career.
Nah was only listed by 3 clubs. Think Choco told him we would pick him up in 2002 national draft/2003 preseason draft but it took 12 more months before we drafted him. He ended up at Port at end of 2007 season then Dean Bailey snapped him up as forwards coach for Melbourne straight away.4th club as well wasn't it?
Edit: 3rd club. 67 games all up. Got the most out his talent.
Edit x2: Maybe he was listed at a 4th club but didn't play? not sure.
I think 2 is the new 1.. unless you are over 30 or absolute fringe status.Would've preferred one given his injury history but can't deny Trent has earned it with his form this year. Hopefully next year is as good as this one for him.
Honestly, didn't have his best game last night. Did a better job of not letting Hawkins get over the back than Clurey did, but still really only escaped having a bag kicked on him due to inaccuracy. Also IIRC it was his fumbled mark that led to Danger's goal.

Hate to say it but agree with BT he’s strong and versatile enough for most of the other key forwards but not for the gorilla Hawkins Kennedy types imhoHonestly, didn't have his best game last night.
