Next time we face the flea-ridden dogs is gonna have a fair amount of spice, the media will have a field day in the lead-up to the game

sounds like our messaging behind closed doors was received - clearly in exchange for "moving on" publically re Pannell.Caro said Fages has had a crack at Bulldogs management and we are not happy with Beveridge's comments. We've also spoken with the AFL about it.
She said she expects Mark Evans to have a quiet chat to Beveridge about pulling his head in.
Also expect rules committee to tighten up on duckers.
Milera does it all the time.hmm, he did the old fashioned bend over and lead with the head which has been out of vogue for a long time. The modern drop from the knees and raise your arms to slip the tackler up is something I don't think any of our players have ever tried thankfully.
at least having your head down over the ball and trying to charge through someone is fairly legitimate even if you know you're not going to get a free for it (which is a ruling I'm happy with by the way). The latter technique serves absolutely no attacking purpose and is done SOLELY to try and win a free kick, gives me the absolute shits.
especially when the tackle lands on the arms and the "flap your wings" move draws light contact above the shoulder. Soft as butter and just plain cheating in my opinion. Used in preference to getting the arms up early to free them for a handball by some of the flogs getting around the league!
Milera does it all the time.
He is a great exponent of the "running with knees bent technique". He can cover ground quick and still bend a lot at the knees.I must watch him closely tomorrow as I haven't noticed that.
was it not their president that a few weeks ago made comments about a port player and his off field behaviour?Caro said Fages has had a crack at Bulldogs management and we are not happy with Beveridge's comments. We've also spoken with the AFL about it.

and yet, this.

Yeah, pretty ****ing funny.
Milera does it all the time.
Great call. Matty Wright was also expert at buying a free kick for too high/in the back.Milera does it all the time.
Why is no one talking about the Eddie Betts ball where he was skirting the boundary line and there was no call by the umpire and then Betts kicks it to McGovern all alone in the square who marks the ball and only then the boundary umpire blows his whistle to indicate that the ball was supposedly out. I mean what the ****. If that isn't bias and a determination to have the Dogs win then I don't know what is. Ridiculous.

appropriate avatarThis immediately sprung to mind
Read you loud and clear...You want us to say we barrack for a different club in the letters. good thinking
I thought this exact thing on the night while watching it on my phone. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned in amongst all the other dud calls that have been referenced during the week. Why is no one talking about the Eddie Betts ball where he was skirting the boundary line and there was no call by the umpire and then Betts kicks it to McGovern all alone in the square who marks the ball and only then the boundary umpire blows his whistle to indicate that the ball was supposedly out. There was so much horseshit in that game its hard to pick a favorite. 1 umpire calling it 17-1 and the other two calling it what? 11-10? shows that only one umpire though that the bulldogs were playing the kind of football their fans keep going on about as being the type that draws more frees.I thought this exact thing on the night while watching it on my phone. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned in amongst all the other dud calls that have been referenced during the week.
Of course the morons in the box seemed to think it was probably out on replay, to which Lingy (down on the boundary) immediately called bullshit and claimed it was never out.
Line ball I guess, 50/50.
But being called by the boundary umpire miles behind the play from where it happened and therefore clearly guessing and well after the play had moved on got my hackles up. Almost as much at the dogs player (Stringer it may have been???) doing the exact same thing down the other end about 1 minute later, only looking well and truly out this time, and not a peep from umpire nor commentators.
Was about then I decided that for the safety of my phone and sanity that perhaps I'd better switch off and go for a quite walk before I really lost my shite.
Couldn't agree more, unfortunately I think some fans give them as much air time as the media and commentators do, I guess they've got no choice when you get outrageous results like this. Why the **** does this story exist? This is problem number 1! Why do the umps get any air time? Why do they have mics? Why do we even now their names? They get to blow up the ego a bit and puff their chest out
They are here to serve the game. They get paid for it. They should then go home. If they have a poor game, they should be coached internally. If they have a great game, they should be recognised.... in front of their peers. Other umpires. Away from the cameras
Been away all week for work and have just caught up on all the news. ******* load of bullshit it was on Saturday night.
Beverbitch is now on my silly fellow list after his mouthign off. guy can GAGF and hope the Dogs are as unsuccessful as possible. gooses
No choice but to laugh, as they say winners are grinners. Now that should have been the headline.Couldn't agree more, unfortunately I think some fans give them as much air time as the media and commentators do, I guess they've got no choice when you get outrageous results like this.
Eh I wasn't grinning, to have the free kick count sway that heavily in our favour and win by under 3 goals considering how well we started, almost felt like a loss.No choice but to laugh, as they say winners are grinners. Now that should have been the headline.
Yeah I wasn't referring to you with my "winners are grinners" but Pannell.Eh I wasn't grinning, to have the free kick count sway that heavily in our favour and win by under 3 goals considering how well we started, almost felt like a loss.
Back on topic though, I don't want this garbage, I want to win knowing that beyond all doubt we were the better team and when things like this happen it really throws a cloud above a great game of football.
He's umpiring in Launceston this week, hopefully he stays there and only umpires the 3~ games that are there per year.
A couple of people have mentioned he is umpiring Hawks this week. Have the appointments been announced? Where can I find them?Eh I wasn't grinning, to have the free kick count sway that heavily in our favour and win by under 3 goals considering how well we started, almost felt like a loss.

Matty Wright use to drop the knees and lead with his head. It normally paid off, although I always thought it was an ordinary tactic.hmm, he did the old fashioned bend over and lead with the head which has been out of vogue for a long time.
