The fact he won't apologise indicates that he was having a crack at the club and not the supporters.http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-ne...delaide-crows-coach-pyke-20160512-gotxl9.html
Irate members of the Adelaide hierarchy were instructed by coach Don Pyke to remain publicly silent over Luke Beveridge's 'disgusting' barb, which the Crows have taken personally and which has intensified the bitterness between the two clubs.
And yet Adelaide bosses remain adamant neither coach Pyke nor CEO Fagan - in a tweet directed to a supporter - questioned the integrity of the umpires nor directly complained about the officiating of the game.
Fagan communicated as much to Stevenson but the Bulldogs boss said that Beveridge would not be apologising to the Crows. Playing down the dispute Stevenson backed his coach and said he agreed with his comments regarding the criticism of umpires.
"Andrew gave me a call," said Stevenson, "and we had a good chat about it and it was fine. We will not be over-reacting on the basis of one word."
The two clubs were at odds after the 2015 elimination final and subsequent investigation over alleged shared information between the Talia brothers. Fagan and his club were frustrated at Bulldogs chairman Peter Gordon's micro-management of the wording of the investigation's official outcome.
The three most interesting parts of the article there. Caroline Wilson stating that it was Pyke who instigated the silence about the hypocrisy from Beveridge. The Bulldog's CEO who thinks that calling a club/our coach "disgusting" would be an over-reaction. Hello pot, kettle, black again. And then Caroline stating again about Peter Gordon's influence of the wording of the Talia investigation. The way that whole article is written, says that Caro, as the one who has we know been used as the AFL mouthpiece before, is giving out the message that the AFL is not happy with the Bulldogs and haven't been for a while. This is a classic AFL way to influence the public to their line of thinking by their use of Caro.
What a ficked up club.
They've joined Port, Sydney and Geelong on my hit list.
