"Random morning musing...30 years ago the 'Powers that be' deemed poor old Fat cat as 'dangerous' because it had no defined Gender....nowadays they are screaming for nonbinary childrens shows.... Fat Cat wasnt 'troublesome' they were ahead of the curve! Justice for the cat!

In the mid 90's I worked on a show at Ch7 in Adelaide, and one day inbetween scenes, I was in the storage dock and climbed a ladder to the loft, found a big blue Character Bag and opened it...It was Fat Cats head, sadly well before Camera phones cos I tried it on lol. But you werent allowed to even mention Fat cat there lol

The irony was that at the time (the sets were in the dock too) the 'Book Place' had replaced 'Fat cat and Friends'.....and you couldnt mention a cute cuddly cat...but it was ok to replace it with a 2 foot phallus on kids TV? You couldnt make this up! Seriously the producer had to stop showing the full puppet because everyone kept cracking up about the 'Dick with Eyes' "
