As much as Djokovic annoys me, how I was wishing for a player who would smack an ordinary serve cross court for a winner, not just meekly paddle it back into play.

It was a rubbish men's final between Sinner and Temu Sinner.

McEnore and Nasty Nastase was worth watching for the outbursts.

The win before it starts thing has always been an issue in Tennis. We were spoiled that we had a bunch of GOATs all playing at once who had decent records against each other so there was some variety and threat.

Surprisingly, Zverev actually has a good record against Sinner but he bottled it. Guy cant play in the big dance. He is Ken Hinkley but slightly better in that he actually makes the final.

Women's tennis is far better in this respect, it's actually entirely possible to have some nobody like Emma Raducanu bolt out of nowhere and win a slam. In the men's that would be about the equivalent of the #6 seed winning it.

I believe people not only in Australia but world wide have had a gut full about being forced to think a certain way on issues by minority groups.
