The France game clearly drained our girls of all stamina and mental sharpness.

Still a great effort to get that far, but as true Port supporters know, success is only measured by titles

1. Treating Aussie teams like a red headed step child

Lol the physicality employed by the England girls early was legit as if this guy gave the ore-game rev up




It allowed them to set the tempo.

Then as you said, we didn’t take our chances, our defenders looked like they were actively running away from England’s forwards and the refs allowed England to push on with bizarrely obvious time wasting tactics.


I mean that player literally running up to Arnold as she’s about to pass the ball and getting in front of her grabbing her and putting an arm up across her and the ball like she’s peak 2003 Bruce Bowen holding the lakers players like a long lost lover. FMD.

I guess your right, the refs had no influence on our defenders treating England forwards like they have super-covid, but gee they practically handed England the script and let them write the game didn’t they.

Man I would love any Aussie sporting team to ever get that kind of freedom in a big game. Just once.

Yeah we wouldn’t have to lament the chances we didn’t convert if it wasn’t for those diabolical defensive efforts. Both of them were just bizarre. Should’ve been 1-1 and forced into OT. Ah well.
