Watching the Chris Benoit episode on Dark Side of the Ring which just got uploaded to SBS on demand.

Heavy stuff.

Him and Eddie were my two favourite people in the world growing up in the mid-2000's and knowing that my childhood hero killed his family and himself still ****s with me. Watching that pulled at the heart strings big time and the ending at the end of it is actually really touching (and shows how awesome a certain Le Champion is).

DSoTR is the best wrestling-related content I've ever watched and if you haven't watched season 1 yet then I'd give that a go because some of the stuff in there is just as dark and compelling (especially the Von Erichs and Gino Hernandez). The next episode out will be about the life and times of New Jack which should be funny and terrifying at the same time.

And it’s not every worker.

My Mrs has been asked to scale down her hours by 20% (which is a joke considering she already works 20-40% above her paid hours, and will have to continue to do so in order to perform the role well) but she won't be eligible because she's been with the employer less than a year.

You on the drink up there edgie?
No that was last night when the missus said I have to make room and clear some ambers from the back fridge.

Also maybe laster when the baby is asleep but all jokes aside this kiddo demands one hundred percent sobriety.

I've watched a few episodes of season 1 - the Fabulous Moolah and bruiser Brody. I'll get around to watching the others soon. Maybe not the one about the Montreal screwjob because I'm kind of sick of that subject.

I know what you mean about watching those guys. I was a WCW kid and absolutely loved Benoit and Guerrero when they were there and Malenko too. I feel so bad for Chris' first son who has carried so much grief and still has so much admiration for his dad for who he used to be. Must be hard looking in the mirror and seeing his old man too. Striking resemblance.

I believe this season has the Owen Hart story so that's gonna be another difficult one to watch.

Bruiser story was a bit infuriating knowing he got away with murder.

Watched first ep of Benoit one. Was good. But going to be interesting to hear the takes by all those on what he did.

The $1500 will be the minimum for every worker, even if they do not usually earn that much. That's a basic wage guarantee above the minimum wage.

Some people working will not even cost their employers cent.

Yeah but this isn't what universal basic income is

The Screwjob is something I've always been interested about but aside from listening to Cornette and Russo taking potshots it doesn't add much other then adding more names to who came up with the idea so it's not something that's game-changing but still interesting. Gino and the Von Erich's is definitely a must watch IMO. Listening to Kevin Von Erich is just as upsetting as listening to David Benoit.

I got into wrestling at the end of 03 so I literally started watching when Eddie and Chris began their ascent to the top and the end of Wrestlemania with them both in the ring as champions made 8yo me jump around the house for days. Aside from the 04 GF, that still ranks as my favourite memory in anything sport related despite the aftermath and my conflicting feelings about it almost 15 years later.

And you're right about David. I am honestly still pissed knowing now that only a select handful of people in the WWE reached out to him, Nancy's sister and anyone else in the Benoit family. What Chris did basically blackballed them from the WWE for life despite them having nothing to do with it.

Interesting note about David is he wants to learn to wrestle although I don't think he'd ever get a shot in any major promotion (aside from NJPW) and that's only because of his father's actions.

I believe this season has the Owen Hart story so that's gonna be another difficult one to watch.

This one will be more interesting then the Benoit one due to his wife and kids being interviewed for it. Martha Hart has held a long, long hatred of all things WWE (and especially Vince) so I imagine that she'll obliterate a lot of people in her interview about Owen's death.

this is pretty crook. do they really need to drive several cars through the park to harass a dozen people sitting far away from each other?

Yes.

Also this is fake as there are no people called Osman in rushcutters bay. The locals would not allow it.

lol - was watching the nth repeat of Letters and Numbers on SBS, which are at least 8 years old, and after the end credits a screen came up saying something like "This program was produced before social distancing was put in place".

Then straight afterwards the new series of Mastermind commences and the four contestants are all sitting right next to each other. I guess those episodes were shot a few weeks ago, but there was no such message at the end of that show because it was straight into the SBS News with the latest on the Covid-19 limitation measures.
