I just have no idea what they were trying to achieve here. We're they trying to go with the "It's so bad, it's good" motto. Because they've nailed the bad part. It's a shocker.
Would give it a 3/10. Just because it looks like something that came out of MS Paint. Some sharp 3D rendering in the drop video doesn't hide the 2D presentation of a poor logo.
The whole sale pitch makes no sense of the wings matching up to the map, just being horizontal instead and not looking like them at all?
Credit to them on one point though. 'Made from South Australia' is a good slogan though, and much much better than the Team for all South Australians crap.

It's better than the raptor head but absolutely anything would have been.
As with anything Crows though, you can't polish a turd. The three primary colours prevents them from ever having an appealing aesthetic.

It's a good move. Ultimately they were a composite team made from footy in this state. But they've never been the team for ALL south Aussies and never will be.

The straight lines and stylised bird cut outs are clearly referencing a few US professional sports teams in my biased opinion, just as their blatant copy of the Baltimore Ravens did previously.
Take the Atlanta Falcons for example:
This mob are incapable of original thought. They always copy ideas. They maybe are finally getting better at disguising their copyright breaches is all. Change the colours, change the angle of attack, a shortening of the wings and there you go - a different design completely.
But what I love about the official announcement from the West Lakes demolition site is how they talk about 'referencing their heritage' in coming up with the new logo.
Yep, like I'm 'referencing the heritage' of last night's meal when I take a dump the next morning. Marketing BS.

The Australian Crow (corvus orro) doesn't even exist in South Australia. Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and northern New South Wales but not South Australia. The Camry Crows' knock off of the Baltimore Ravens logo was more accurate.
