#1 on cable as well.

Let's not forget that the Winter Olympics are also on, which is a big deal in the US, so that's an excellent number. :thumbsu: :D

TK overselling things worked! Quality episode too which surely will help long-term. Sometimes some of their big ratings shows haven't been the best so glad they've produced with so many eyes on it.

Spot on. The tactic of big time promotion for ex WWE debuts can only last so long. It’s was a fantastic episode, one of their best, so hopefully the viewers can stick around

In terms of debuting wrestlers which always creates a great buzz in wrestling, do you think WWE are missing an opportunity here as an NXT call up really creates no response other than ‘they’ll be gone in a couple of months’? An Omos for example, no one cares about. Are their days of unleashing new signing straight onto Raw or Smackdown gone?

I’ve always had an issue with how they debut NXT talents to the main roster. It’s horrible. They just assume everyone is familiar with the person and their character, when more than half the audience wouldn’t have a clue who they are looking at.
The best way to debut was always with a series of vignettes, and basically introducing the character as brand new to TV. And there are obviously exceptions to that, especially the bigger guys, enforcers etc. That’s just my opinion of course.

but but there was more focus on the announcement then the main event. Wah Wah Wah

Dynamite ratings surely go up this week people tuning in to see if the Cody thing was a work and if he doesn’t show up could imagine the Smackdown numbers do the same to even though if he goes back to the E surely they don’t have him on until Mania or close to.
