I've only just started Daredevil. Only 3 episodes in but really liking it.

Doesn't feel like a cliched superhero show. More like a gritty crime drama that happens to have a superhero in it. Geez it seems gratuitously violent sometimes though. Fortunately I am almost completely desensitised.

Yeah i like that Daredevil doesn't shy away from the violence, but at the same time it doesn't cross that line in celebrating it either. Each season has 1 really awesome fight scene that is shot better than most movies. It is similar to Jessica Jones in vibe, it isn't a kids show, but Daredevil is more classic superhero action where JJ was more crime thriller in feel.

In other news, my NBN connection is finally live !! I have some serious catching up to do. In the last 3 years i've only seen JJ, Daredevil, Black Sails and GOT. That's about it. Must watch TV shows come at me!

Justified is a must watch that a lot of people won't throw at you. Person of interest is another favourite of mine.

Mr Robot Mr Robot Mr Robot
It's amazing. Avoided watching it for some reason because I didn't think I'd like it, couldn't have been more wrong. True Detective + Broadchurch are both stunning for the first season. House of Cards is very well done too. Not a lot else I'd call 'must watch', most other recent shows would be dependant on personal taste. The Expanse for sure if you like sci-fi, Person of Interest if you like procedurals that become sci-fi.

**** CBS, how could they put POI on the backburner?

Vikings. It's freakin' great.
I liked but not loved Mr. Robot.
Re watched The Wire recently. Awesome.
About to start House of Cards on family's recommendation.

Really enjoyed season 1 ... so far, for me, season two is a huge let down. Awkward love story, weak villains and terrible acting.

This is what happens if you tell your kids they're awesome 24/7.

Haven't seen any of those shows so nice suggestions. I also need to watch breaking bad. Ive only seen and ep here and there from the first 2 seasons.

Mate. WTF. Get on it. And praise be when you finish that you can jump right into Better Call Saul which is just as good.

have just had a look at the first 4 episodes of the Making a Murderer doco, people had told me you will get angry watching it, i didn't believe them, i was wrong.

what a conspiracy against this steven avery guy. the last scene in episode 4 is a gee WTF moment. definitely a case of power corrupts.

Yeah I was pretty outraged by that point in the series but by the end I wasn't so sure. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts when you get to the end.

watched episodes 5 to 9 today before the game, couldn't wait to watch the last one to post this, (will watch it sometime this week) too angry/frustrated.
surely there is reasonable doubt hell i'm not even "comfortably satisfied".
i have been a juror on 4 criminal trials and if you need 4 days to decide a verdict to me that means reasonable doubt.

how the hell could that young dassey or avery be convicted with no DNA of dassey or the victim in the bedroom after a frenzied rape and knife assault and throat slashing is mind boggling.
i have also had a bit to do with intellectually impaired children and he exhibits all the qualities of a classic low IQ socially naive kid, that confession was bull shit.

Yeah really butchered the Elektra origin. In the comic -yes I know nerd alert- her introduction, (Daredevil 168) is considered one of the best single issues of all time. Fortunately they nailed the Kinpin character which really makes the series IMO worth watching.

Speaking of screwing up comic book source material, that walking dead ending o_O

I'm actually not even concerned about accuracy or anything like that - I just think that they're being fed potato lines and are delivering them terribly. Pretty close to giving up on the second season as it's just a poor effort all-round. :/ I'll probably stick it out though.

I think if you throw enough ninjas at it, you can make anything good. I loved the second season. Really enjoyed both Frank and Electra too. The main weakness though is not having a single clear/strong villain. The Punisher and Elektra both come off as duo and tritagonists even when they are in conflict with Matt.

The main thing that bothers me is that they have such terrible lines. And the love story is absolutely pathetic - not enough buildup/tension to be worth showing.

The protracted ninja scenes are about the only reason I'm still watching it, but it's slipped down from one of my top-rung shows to about 3rd rung.

Does not have to be spot on accurate, but my point was, they had an excellent story to base the character on and they f@#$ed it up

Carnivale is a great show for those that haven't seen it. A few years old now but well worth watching.

Another HBO drama that needs an ending.

I liked it. Still, those two episodes proved that everything is better with Fisk.
